Chapter 3-bonded in blood

The trek north towards orbos' friends was going fairly horribly despite its initial high hopes, almost everyone stared at orbos with a weary yet curious gaze as he scanned his new surroundings, the only exception was Daniel as he took notes on his book, watching orbos with extreme curiosity.

 "Hey, orbos?" Daniel spoke, catching the small bot's attention "I have some questions I want to ask you if that's okay?" He requested, making the small bot show some semblance of a smile.

 "Of course, feel free to ask me anything" he declared, watching as Daniel scrambled to find an empty page for him to start. "When we first met, you said you were a mekani-sprite, could you tell me more please?" He asked, writing down his question while waiting for a response from orbos.

 "Hmmm...." The small drone thought for a moment before explaining "a mekani-sprite is a small class of mekinite, we are known to work as surveillance as well as data collection and storage" explained, Daniel wrote down the answer before asking another "could you tell me about what you were doing before we met and why you were here?" He asked once more 

"You see before this all happened my friends and I were in a castle that belonged to Ratchelous" he explained, causing Daniel to write it down before continuing "he was a mekinite much like me however he was a meki-noid who are much more the size of adult humans, he waged war for our people's freedom, however, it came  at the cost  by gaining the ire of the sourean army and my friends the "heroes of istaresta" and as things became dire he made a pact with the dark powers to create a portal in hopes he and his people who followed him could escape " Daniel gestured him to continue "luckily he was killed but his plan came to a somewhat fruitful fruition both in the portal and  giving the freedom our people need, tough as for why I'm here I was simply lost after scanning the new world we've fused with" 

This brought the group some confusion, Daniel especially as he was the one writing it down and asking the questions, but, as he tried to think of a question Selene spoke up, bringing the bot's attention to her "well, what exactly is your world and what is it fused with?"

"Istaresta and to be specific I believe that it is the biggest island in the sourean archipelago that Ratchelous built his fortress along with the smaller islands surrounding it" he answered bringing some concern amongst the group, but it would soon change as a rustle was heard from a nearby bush.

The group looked at the bush with concern as a young child pounced outside of the bush with feral intent, Daniel could only scream as he was forced onto the ground by the kid, both struggling as the kid tried to bite while Daniel tried to avoid it.

"DANIEL!" Everyone yelled with worry and fear, Selene acted quickly to grab the feral child and restrain them while the rest helped Daniel up, now getting a good look at the restrained kid, watching her flail to free themselves, only to fail as Selene kept a firm grip on the child's arms.

She was no younger than Daniel, being only a two-year gap between them with blood scarlet hair and crimson eyes, her clothes were tribal in design and made of what appeared to be animal hides along with a sash lined with 5 small canteens. She looked like she was in pain as she struggled to free herself, making small sharp growls.

"You alright Daniel?" Nicolas asked, out of breath from what happened much like everyone else, and let the adrenaline subside as Daniel nodded in response "what just happened?!" He questioned, looking to orbos at what they were looking at.

Orbos could only look in fear before he explained "it's an igazi! This caused everyone to look at the bit before continuing "Igazi are cursed people who drink blood and do dark blood magic, we have to kill it!" This took everyone back as fear filled their eyes as they looked at the child igazi in question giving way to a small internal panic in Nicolas "well you're the bot, how do we kill it?! I don't want this...person around, especially if she wants to drink blood" Willa panicked as Selene held on firmly to the child's arms.
