Daniel looked on with worry, glancing at each of his friends wondering what happened and if there was an explanation as to what happened, but on another note he looked to Willa once more, seeing her float a meter off the ground with a green outline tracing the shape of her body was very out of the ordinary surely he was dreaming, or so Daniel would assume so at least before Nicolas finally explained."While you were away a massive light and shockwave just so happened to appear, not long after this happened" this made Daniel even more confused and yet curious, this was surely a dream. Making sure to confirm it was he gave a small pinch to himself, hissing in pain from it he knew he wasn't dreaming as panic slowly began to set in, -was it because of that strange blue thing he found behind?- he thought to himself, trying to piece together on what happened but his thoughts slowly settled as Selene continued to ask.
"Hey Daniel, what happened to you while all of this happened?" This made Daniel's mind race faster than before, he wasn't sure if he could let alone should tell the truth as everyone gave a worried yet panicked look just as he was, looking to alpine who gave a small tip of encouragement made a small sigh, knowing that telling the truth now would hurt much less if it was much later.
"While I was out getting sticks for the fire I found something glowing in a bush and found a strange blue sphere, next thing that happened I was a blown away from the bush and this all happened" he explained to the best of his ability as Nicolas made a hidden scowl as he tried to not scare Daniel.
After a moment of breathing, Nicolas gave a worried look hidden behind his clothes, hoping that this wasn't all because of him "what did you do? Did you touch it?" He questioned causing Daniel to shake his head repeatedly before he explained much further. "No, I just found and stared at it" Nicolas sighed in relief with the answer that was given to him.
-it's not his fault, it just blew up on its own- he mentally assured himself, looking on he gave a moment to wonder what the next course of action he should take next, given he's the oldest of the four he should be the one to take responsibility but looked to everyone on what should their first plan of action should be.
"Should we go to the camp counselors and-" he suggested only to be cut off by Nicolas with a firm "no" before he explained further "the camp counselors are too far and it would take too much time to trek there and back, and the Sun's already setting the best thing we can do is start tomorrow" he argued, Daniel wanted to argue back but he was right, the sun was setting and being one of the father camps it would take too much time and what's to say someone nearer camps already came first to them.
"Okay, but what about Willa?" Selene asked with worry in her voice Willa agreed with her friend "yeah, what about me? I don't want to keep floating!" She protested as this was something she wanted to be figured out now especially given that this happened when the flash of light came in.
Daniel pondered on it, this was something that interested in but it also made him wonder if everyone else was affected in some form or way not to mention what changed in the world around them, making him more curious by the minute until an idea came to mind and quickly rummaged through his bag, finding an empty brown leather book with three triangles representing a mountain.
"Daniel, what are you doing with that book?" Selene asked, Daniel only gave a bright smile in response before explaining "well maybe we could take notes of what's changed along with making a map of what we might find if we ever decide to explore" he explained as they would be here for a while they all might as well be useful and have fun while doing it.
"That's a good idea but I think we should get ready to eat first" Selene offered, the sun was setting and everyone was hungry from a long day of trekking and whatever happened with the blue marble Daniel interacted with, it was probably for the best to eat and go to bed before things can be done.
