Chapter 1: She's Nothing But Trouble... But Troubles What She Likes

"C'mon Mads!" Cath half-shouting to her bestie, Maddie, while running along the shore.

"Wait up Cath!" Maddie said while panting. She stopped to bend over and take a couple of deep breaths.

Cath turned around and approached her. "C'mon! If we're not fast enough, we're gonna get caught!" Cath told Maddie.

After managing to breathe normally, Maddie chuckled. "Ha! Not a chance! C'mon let's get shopping girl!" She said and dragged Cath out of the beach to the largest mall of the city near the beach.

"That's the spirit!" Cath chuckled and a grin plastered on her face.

"Stop it right there you two!!!" Someone exclaimed from behind their backs. He sounded angry.

"Oh-uh," Maddie said, looking back and found a school security guard chasing after them.

"I know where to hide," Cath whispered and took Maddie's hand and ran to the nearest alley and hid behind the dumpster.

The school security guard was running past the alley without even a single glance. Cath and Maddie burst into laughter as they fooled the school security guard.

"We did it!" Maddie exclaimed and smiled happily.

"Of course we did! Cath and Maddie, best team ever! Up top girl!" Cath raised her right hand and Maddie happily high five-ing her. Winner smiles appeared in both of their faces.

"We need to change," Maddie said, referring to the school uniform they both wear at the moment.

"Ughh.. Of course! Who come to the mall in their ugly school uniforms anyway," Cath responded.

Both of them went to the girls bathroom and changed their outfits.

Cath changed her uniform into a loose white tank top with picture of a black ribbon printed over it and a really short shorts, while Maddie changed into cute knee-length blue dress with laces.

"Cute dress! Where did you get it Mads?" Cath asked.

"It's new. I just bought it at the mall last week," Maddie answered.

"Ahhh... Nice! C'mon! Don't waste so much time! We're gonna have some fun shopping!!" Cath smirked.

They went to branded clothing stores and bought lots of clothes. After a couple of hours shopping, they went to the Starbucks to get some coffee and hang out.

"What do you think they're gonna do to if they ever caught us?" Maddie asked and drank her cappuccino.

Cath shrugged her shoulders and answered, "Don't know and don't care."

"I'm scared that we're gonna get in so much trouble considering Eastside Academy is one of the most strictest school in the country," Maddie told her.

"Mads, mads... Always so scared of everything like always. The worst thing they can do is giving us detentions. Don't worry about it," Cath scoffed.

"But Cath... Are you forget? Ditching is a big deal in Eastside Academy and they allow to use corporal punishments. Plus, your brother teaches there. Are you not worry that he would find out about this?" Maddie responded.

"First of all, he's not my actual brother. He's my step-brother. Second, why do you have to worry about every single little thing? I've been in that school for a month and whenever I get into trouble, they just give me detention," Cath told her.

"Well... Yeah.. But I've experienced the corporal punishment once, not that I want to repeat that again," Maddie said, shivering of the memory. But Cath was being busy looking at someone. "Cath... Hello?" Maddie snaps her fingers.
