I'm sitting under the shower, silently crying so as not to wake my siblings sleeping next door. I was in pains,my body sore my legs felt heavy,I just sat there on the tiles bathroom floor watching as the once clear water turned red as it washes the blood from between my legs.
I started scrubbing trying to wash his touch from my body, I scrubbed and cried,I scrubbed till my skin hurts. Washing the traces of my lost virginity.
It was at that moment I realized that whatever I have been holding on it was lost.
Some hours earlier.
That chapter of my life closed, although I changed, I limited my friends, only family and family friends no personal friends.
I can count all my friends on one hand and those would be my brothers friends that we grew up together. I would call them my friends so as not to look like a loner.
Here I am two weeks after my seventeenth birthday,I survived highschool waiting to be granted admission into the university... I finished a School intact.. no boyfriend's so I'm still a virgin. Yay!!!!.....
Instead of staying at home idle, doing nothing I decided to learn a trade sewing. I'm learn to sew female dresses mainly Ankara wears.
After closing from work,I walked down to the bus stop to board a bus that would take me to the nearest bus stop to my house and it is a two to three hours journey considering traffic and the bus stoping to pick other passengers.
The bus stop was too crowdy when I got there, many people from the people selling things by the road side to passenger, people going to their various houses coming from work, hoodlums (agbero) that stays at the bus stop collecting money from bus drivers, to the law enforcement agents stationed at the bus stop ( police etc.).
It's rush hour that's why the place is so crowded because all business owners are closing sales for the day rushing to get home to their families. The bus drivers conveniently decided to hike the price of transportation, if you want to get home on time you have no choice but to pay almost double the actual price." I swear all of them are thieves, like why would the increase the price now and I don't have enough cash on me urgh!!!".
