" Or I should go to my friend's house my parents know her''
" That won't be necessary your parents know me, and my house is just 15min away from this place"
"Okay , let's go I would have to get something to eat "
" That won't be a problem there's an eatery on my street "
" Thank God, you're a lifesaver "
" Lol, lifesaver right"
......
He was a family friend, my parents knows they trusted him because my dad won't let someone he doesn't trust be his family , so I trusted him.
We got to his house a storey building with ten rooms so he has neighbors, a building like that and has many tenants is called I face me I slap you compound. They all share one toilet and bathroom, a kitchen a well. You have to wake up early to get to the bathroom unless you want to go to work without bathing .
We passed eight other rooms that is four rooms on the left four on the right, we heard the voice of many people and one of his neighbors was playing music very loud I think the person uses a sound speaker.
The place was like a club house, most of the tenants were already inside their rooms because NEPA decided to give them light that night ( in Lagos have bad roads bad government poor electricity thats we hardly have light ) so some areas in Lagos hardly have light and when the have it they feel lucky.
We passed a room where a man and woman were quarrelling and throwing things at themselves." You dey mad, I go kill you today, if I kill you nothing go do me" man's voice
" If you no kill me today you be bastard, idiot man" woman's voice
" Better pack your things comot for my house before I wound you"
I've always hated things like that, domestic violence. Very soon the man would get more angry and start beating the woman.
We quickly walked passed the room, the room facing his own was occupied by a guy who was playing some kind of loud music from a sound system.
I swear I could feel the vibrations on the floor, one would think the building was some club house.
