"𝐒𝐇𝐄 𝐍𝐄𝐄𝐃𝐒 𝐇𝐔𝐌𝐀𝐍 𝐁𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐃, 𝐅𝐑𝐎𝐌 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐕𝐄𝐈𝐍." Florence argues, she is in Stefan's room as he packs to help Elena try to control her blood lust and start feeding on animals instead of people. 

"If we can start now then maybe she won't have to drink human blood and can drink from animals." Stefan stuffs clothes and other things into his bag. 

"Name one vampire who hasn't killed as a newbie." Damon points out, from his seat at Stefan's desk. Stefan doesn't answer it, "Exactly. Let Florence do it, she's the 1000 year old vampire, she has more control then us." 

"I'll teach her how to do it, I'll go to a prison get someone out of it, a rapist and we can feed off him. I can teach her how to control it, how to live with it. It gets easier with time but she can't live off animal blood, she will always be hungry, all the time, she needs human blood, not from a bag, from the vein." The original agrees with Damon, "And when we get there, controlling the vein we can move to the bags and then eventually too eating off animals, okay. but as a newbie vampire you need to learn how to control the blood lust."

"I'm saying maybe she doesn't have to live with the blood lust, if we can get her too feed, to live off animals, to not know anything different then she won't know." Stefan shouts. 

"You don't understand Stefan! You may not be a newbie but your defiantly not an elder. There's five ages in vampirism, newbie, age 1-100. junior, age 100-250. adult, 250-400. elderly, 400-900. elder, 900-1000. I'm an elder and I know control better then anyone, and what's to say maybe she's great at it? Some vampires have amazing self control, like Caroline, she's what a year old vampire and I've never, ever seen someone in their first year of vampirism have that much control." Florence explains, "Elena will live with blood - lust, she was born with blood, she is living on blood, she will crave it and we can't avoid it, there isn't a loop hole in this."

"What's going on?" Elena's soft voice sound from the doorway, Florence turns around, "You left early this morning, I didn't think you'd be here."

"Yeah well, I left early for no reason this morning because my point isn't going to get through Stefan's thick head." Florence pinches the bridge of her nose, closing her eyes for a second, Elena walks over too her with a frown. 

"What's wrong?" The new vampire asks, touching Florence's arm and then she sees it. The missing necklace, "Your necklace. Its gone." Florence's eyes snap open and her hand reaches up to where the necklace would be, "What happened?" 

"Just got into a big fight with Klaus okay, I'm fine. He won't bother you anymore." Florence nods,  before touching Elena's hand where her daylight ring sits, She pulls it off her arm and holds it up to her face. "Your wearing it. Does it work?" 

"Yeah, it works fine." Elena smiles, "Okay, we should probably go. So I'll see you soon?" Florence nods, pressing her lips to Elena's for a second before pulling back. 

"Have fun." Damon mumbles, looking at the desk. "Eating off bunnies."

"Shut up." Stefan raises his voice looking at Damon, pulling on a shirt over his white vest. "We will see how it works and if my plan doesn't work we will do yours and florence's plan, but I have full faith it will." 

"Stefan, Elena needs to learn the blood lust, she needs to drink from the vein and that's that, it won't work and you shouldn't have full faith." Florence snaps, "We're vampires. Vampires drink blood from the vein and that's how we live." Stefan grabs Elena's hand and pulls her out too leave, Elena waves a goodbye to Florence, "Love you."

"Love you too." Elena shouts as she is pulled down the stairs and then Florence and Damon are left in the room. 

"I should probably." Florence brakes the awkward silence.
