Asher

Heavy unstable breaths filled my ears as I stumbled through the forest. I was covered in blood, pain was the only thing I could feel. How I was able to keep walking, I didn't know. I wasn't aware of where I was going, my vision was blurry. My tail slowly swayed back in forth as my ears twitched and swiveled at the noises around me, leaves and branches were crushed under my paws.

After what felt like forever I saw lights, and I sighed with relief. I was so close. I made my way to what looked like black solid dirt, it felt weird and foreign on my paws. I walked on the dirt or whatever it was, it smelt weird but it felt better than the leaves and branches stabbing my paws.

I walked closer to the lights before a loud noise and bright lights came my way, I covered my ears, squinting my eyes it sounded like a metal monster. To make matters worse more lights turned on, these lights were red and blue making me disoriented. I backed away from the monster my ears flat against my head.

A door seemed to open from the side of the monster which told me it wasn't alive. An earless and tailless animal stepped out making me back away. "Hey kid it's okay I'm not going to hurt you," he said waving me over but I didn't move my hands still over my ears. He seemed to take note of this and turned off the monster as well as the blue and red lights. He also grabbed something that smelt good.

The weird "man" knelt a bit which made him not so scary. I was able to take my hands off my ears and my eyes adjusted to the lights allowing me to see the "man" more clearly. He wasn't a wolf like I was but he wasn't like any other animal I had ever seen, then it clicked. He was a human. But he didn't seem bad.

He held out the thing that smelt good making me lick my lips. "Come here buddy I won't hurt you, I just want to help," he said smiling he was at my height now.

I made my way over to him shyly my hunger overriding my fear. It was meat I was drooling at this point. "You can have it, go ahead." he urged. I slowly grabbed it before devouring it quickly. He backed up a bit and held out another piece. I followed we did this and before I knew it I was in the back of the monster. I was confused when I heard a loud noise I turned around and realized the monster was closed.

My eyes widened a whimper escaping as I scratched at the monster trying to escape. My injuries were starting to get to me the amount of blood loss was making me dizzy but I still tried to escape even when my movements became sluggish everything was starting to go dark. I slumped on the soft surface of the monster my eyes closing.

. . .

I woke up slowly a beeping was in my ears making me cringe I didn't feel any pain which confused me. Where was I? What's going on? The smell burned my nose. I opened my eyes and regretted it everything was white and bright.

I tried sitting up but my wrist wouldn't move but a little bit. I growled as I tried again, looking at them and the weird material around my wrist, I couldn't adjust myself correctly to bite them off. I also noticed some weird thing in my arm connected to a hanging bag. I heard footsteps which quickly took my attention. A human male all in white walked in. I growled my ears folding back.

"Hello there, it's nice to meet you what's your name?" the strange man asks making me nervous.

He was patient and let me take my time. "A-Asher..." I muttered looking away I was told to never talk to humans, never give them information on me, on the pack. But...I wasn't a part of the pack anymore.

"It's nice to meet you, Asher. You have some serious injuries mind telling me what happened?" I gulped looking down and jerking at the restraints. "I'll take that as a no, that okay, I know you're confused this is all new to you but it's going to be okay," he said walking over to the bag the smile never leaving his face as he seemed to put something into the bag.

Everything slowed down, my breathing got heavy the beeping speeding up before slowing down as I fell against the bed. I saw a man walking in with chains before everything went dark.
