The following morning Jessie woke up to the sound of bird pokemon singing as the sun began to rise. She yawned as she rubbed the sleep out of her sapphire blue eyes.

"Ah, morning already," Jessie yawned, sitting on her sleeping bag looking at Arbok was protectively wrapped around Jessie and her two other Pokemon."Alright, time for a quick breakfast and then time to continue our journey to New Bark Town in the Johto region," She said, digging in her bag for today's breakfast.

'Let's see what all I packed; and I still have money saved up from my last few paychecks from Team Rocket in my account, and I believe it is a reasonable amount to survive on this journey, hopefully.' She thought, pulling out a van of Pokemon food, and realized she needed to get some food made for water types when she got to town.

"Lickitung!" Lickitung cheered, seeing the can of Pokemon food with her tongue sticking out

"Ar, bok!" Arbok hissed at Lickitung.

"Alright, settled down there more them enough food," She said, pulling out two more cans of food.

The two Pokemon settled down as she pulled a few bowls and put Pokemon food inside of them. She then put the food away before taking out some chocolate pudding and a banana.

"Squirtle," Shelly cried out, eating her Pokemon food as she watched Jessie eat her pudding and banana.

Meanwhile, in Pallet Town...

Ash, Brock, and Misty were not currently getting ready to leave Pallet Town to head off for Johto.

"Visit my mom so she doesn't get lonesome," Ash said, looking at Tracey.

"Don't worry, I will," Tracey replied.

"Thanks, Trace," Ash said.

"Give my regards to Kurt when you bring him the G.S ball," Professor Oak said.

"I sure will, Professor," Ash replied.

"I promise I won't let him forget," Misty said.

"And I will make sure to remind her," Brock said, placing a hand against his chest.

"Pikachu!" Pikachu agreed.

"Don't you trust me?" Ash asked, looking down at Pikachu."Well, I do forget sometimes."

"Don't forget to help each other when the going gets tough and always do your best," Professor Oak said.

"Right," The three kids said at the same time.

"Ash, remember to change what we talk about changing every day," Mrs. Ketchum said.

"Don't worry; I will."

"I'm going to miss you," Mrs. Ketchum said with a smile.

"Goodbye, for now, Pallet Town," Brock said, waving bye.

"But we will be back again," Misty said, waving bye as well.

"Also, Ash, the new trainer who was here yesterday name Jessica left for Johto well," Professor Oak said." So if you run into her, why don't you lean her a hand? I am sure she would love getting advice from a familiar face through you might not recognize her."

"Sure thing Professor Oak. I don't remember meeting Jessica before, but I don't mind helping a new trainer if I run into her," Ash said, waving bye as well.

The three then started setting off for the Johto region. "I bring you another trophy!"

"You just bring yourself back, Ash! That is the only prize I want," Mrs. Ketcum said, waving bye to her son.

"It must be hard to see him go," Professor Oak said.

"But he be back again," Mrs. Ketchum said smiling. "Also, the Jessica girl, the young girl from Team Rocket that tried to still Pokemon from your lab a couple of days ago when Ash first got back, isn't she?" She asked.

Professor Oak nodded. "Yeah, apparently, she and her friends got fired. Not surprised he doesn't know her full name. She only said Jessie in their odd motto."

"Thought so when you said he knew but might not recognize her," Mrs. Let'shum said as they watched Ash and the other walk on-off.

Jessie finished packing up her sleeping bag and the empty bowls that had Pokemon food in them. Now that she was done with her breakfast. She took out her map before continuing down the path leading to New Bark Town

"Come on, Shelly, let's get some training and maybe catch a new Pokemon," Jessie said.

"Squirtle!"

"Yeah, Shelly, a new Pokemon friend sounds exciting, and so does training, doesn't it?"

"Squrit, Squrit, Squirtle." [ Yes, it does.]

Jessie smiled as she pulled out her pokedex and pointed it at Shelly to aee her moves. "So you know the activities Bubble,  tackle, and Confusion an egg move." Interesting move poll now time to find some wild Pokemon to train against."

"Squrit!" [Alright!]

As they continued walking through the path leading towards a forest. She had Shelly battle against a couple of Metapod, Caterpie, Rattata, and Doduo. Not running into anything, she was interested in catching at the moment.

"You know, maybe I catch a Doduo just to have a flying type. I can always switch it out later," Jessie said to another Doduo who appeared in front of her.

"Shelly, use Bubble!" Jessie commanded.

"Squirtle!" Shelly cried out, shooting bubbles at Duduo, who ran forward, poping them.

"Shelly, dodge and then use Bubble again!"

Shelly moved to the side, avoiding the incoming peck, before opening its mouth and shooting bubbles coming out of its mouth, hitting the Doduo.

"Doduo!" Duduo cried out, falling to the ground.

"Okay, we should probably attack it some more let's go with confusion," Jessie ordered.

"Squirtle!"  Shelly said with her eyes glowing blue as she lifted Duduo in the air sending it flying towards a tree.

"Pokeball, go!" Jessie said, throwing at the Duduo as it struggled to get back up.

The Pokeball shook three times until it clicked, signaling that it was caught.

"Nice, we got a new pal in Duduo. Let's check it out," She said, looking at the information in her pokedex after picking up the Pokeball.

"Doduo, the Twin Bird Pokemon. A normal/flying type. It lives on a grassy plain where it can see a long way. If sees an enemy, it runs away at 60 mph. This Duduo is male, and known moves are Growl, Peck, Pursuit, and Protect," Jessie pokedex said in a female mechanical voice.

"Not a bad catch," Placing the Pokeball on her belt and pokedex in her pocket."Shelly return for now," She said, returning her Squirtle before continuing her journey towards New Bark town with two thoughts on her mind.

'I wonder how James and Meowth are doing following their dreams. As well as what adventures and challenges are in store for me in Johto.'
