Chapter 7: A Surprise Meeting

We now see Jessie, Ash, Brock, and Misty walking along the forest. As they soon walk out of it as they are in awe of the fantastic valley scenery in the distance.

"Oh wow," Ash said.

"Look at that," Brock commented.

"What a great view," Misty said.

Pikachu cries out in agreement.

"It is going to be quite a hike, but it's definitely beautiful around here," Jessie said.

"It's not the only thing," Brock commented.

"Oh, don't get started, Brock!" Misty snapped, pulling his ear before he got any closer to Jessie.

"Come on! The sooner we get started, the sooner we can get to Violet City!" Ash shouted.

Pikachu cries out in agreement. Until suddenly, A earthquake arose, startling the four trainers as they noticed some rocks falling down and soon rushed away for cover. As the rumbling soon stops, the four trainers and Pikachu sigh in relief.

Great more adventure..." Misty complained.

"I guess we're getting off to a rocky start, huh?" Ash said.

"Let's get going before it happens again," Brock said.

"I agree you don't have to tell me twice," Jessie said.

Meanwhile

We see now on top of the Rocky Cliff were Emerald and Sapphire and Moonsliver, who also felt the earthquake as Team Rocket was on the ground and shook while Moonsliver just remained calm.

"That was too close for comfort," Moonsliver said.

Emerald and Sapphire panted, trying to calm down.

"The rolling stones missed us," Sapphire said.

"I hate rolling rocks," Emerald commented.

"It wouldn't be so bad if they were soft rock," Moonsliver said.

Moonsliver narrowed his eyes as he felt something and jumped away from Emerald and Sapphire as the cliff they were standing on fell apart, making them fall from it as they screamed loudly. Moonsliver shook his head and sent out an Aerodactyl and flew down to where his two mentors fell.

He, fortunately, found them in the vines, which made their fall softer.

"It's nice to hang out closer together," Emerald sighed.

"I would say you're lucky those vines broke your fall," Moonsliver said.

"Maybe this plan isn't a great idea," Emerald said.

"Excuse, mister, a little falling rock can't stop us!" Sapphire said with an annoyed look on her face.

The three then heard something and saw a giant rock falling toward them, which made Sapphire and Emerald scream.

"Incoming! Aerodactyl now!" Moonsliver said.

Aerodactyl then destroys the vines releasing them and carrying them away from the rock in time, placing them next to Moonsliver.

"Geez, can't catch a break around," Moonsliver said."Fool by the Pikachu boy and now falling boulders. Johto a pain so far," Moonsliver stated.

"We might not be having luck so far, but unlike the trio, we're not going to keep losing to a kid and his Pokemon," Sapphire said.

"Right, speaking of him of all things, I can't believe Jessie actually joined the twerps," Emerald said."You would think she avoided them after getting fired because of losing to him, and they allow her to be with them just because she looks different with her hair down and no uniform."
