On a Monday morning, Jisoo entered his office room without any enthusiasm for the first day at work. He put his suitcase down and drank his coffee. He definitely needed a strong coffee to start his day. Enjoying the warm of strong black coffee entering his empty stomach he closed his eyes. He could put his big problem at a rest for a while as Chae told him secretly that Jennie wouldn't go to Australia with Jong-in right now. She insisted to finish her study in Seoul. Jisoo sighed in relief when he heard the news. That was the best news that he got during these three horrible days. Now, he had to solve his problem with Soojoo .

After checking with Nayeon whether Soojoo had come or not, he got up from his chair heading towards Soojoo 's room. He tried to put on a bright smile when facing Soojoo because he believes that she was really angry this time.

Knocking on the door twice, he opened the door and saw Soojoo sitting on her cozy chair. She lifted her face to see who was coming but quickly turned her head away when she spotted Jisoo at the door, "Good morning, Soojoo ." Jisoo greeted her, and put himself down on the chair in front of her.

Soojoo knitted her eyebrows and pouted. She ignored Jisoo and continued to read the file on her hand. Jisoo sighed. He knew he was at fault this time. He couldn't run away from the important business like he did without delegating the task to Soojoo . He wasn't acting as a professional businessman. He was in a hurry to have a date with Jennie and he didn't talk to Soojoo personally about his absence. Moreover, he disconnected his mobile as he saw Soojoo's number calling. He admitted he was at fault. Clearing his throat, he said seriously, "Soojoo, I'm sorry. I know I'm the one who should take all the blame. I don't blame you to cancel our multi-million dollars contract with Mr. Choi. It should be me who handle the project but that day I..."

"You don't have to try finding an excuse. The contract has been canceled. I can only tell you that." She answered coldly, without looking at him.

"I know but I don't want our relationship as partners to be ruined, too. I'm the one who was at fault. Mr. Choi is my client and you don't know deeply about this contract. It's my entire fault and I'm sorry for that. I hope we can work together again, as a good partnership."

Soojoo lifted her face, looking at him with her shimmering eyes. Jisoo had never failed to melt her heart. How she longed to have him back as her lover. How she missed the time when they had their happiness together. She blinked her beautiful eyes and tried to think clearly what she would do with him. Jisoo was too sweet to be rejected. Maybe she could use his guilt to make their love life back.

"Where were you on Friday afternoon?" She asked him in a serious tone. Her eyes were scrutinizing his face, trying to judge him whether he would utter a lie.

Jisoo groaned inside. He had expected that Soojoo would ask this question. He wanted to tell a lie but looking at the seriousness of her face, he decided to tell her the truth. After all Soojoo knew his relationship with Jennie. So, it's not wrong if he tell her what he did.

"I had a date...with Jennie. It's her birthday on that day."

Soojoo stared at his face and admitted to herself that Jisoo was serious with Jennie. He wouldn't throw a multi-million dollars contract for celebrating a birthday with someone if he didn't have any feelings towards her. Her heart twisted in pain. The admiration and love towards Jennie in Jisoo's voice caused a stir of jealousy to rise inside Soojoo . She didn't like the feeling at all and tried to squash it. She knew Jisoo's characters. If she wanted to win then she had to melt his soft-heart with a tender touch.

"Oh, I see. Why didn't you tell me before? If I knew then this misunderstanding wouldn't happened. You won't lose the contract." She tried to sound understandingly. Her voice was soft.
