She was anesthetized and the last thing she saw was the tearful face of her husband.
At the beginning, the operation went really well. When they were near the end, something went wrong and she slipped into coma.
David and Elijah heard the news. David was crying like a madwoman and Elijah, too young to understand, started crying with him.
He was so afraid of losing her. She couldn't do that to him, could she?
He told himself that she would wake up, like nothing happened. They would carefully walk out of the hospital and she would still have the baby.
But she lost the baby, during the operation.
Weeks after weeks went by and she still didn't wake up.

Only David believed her, but.. he couldn't do anything. He was just one person, choosing to believe his wife and it was completely normal. They didn't think anything of it.
He looked at her with such a strong admiration. She blushed and leaned over to kiss him. They looked like a couple of lovesick teenagers. But nobody cared.
