Chapter 6 - The Job POV: Gajeel Redfox

I wake up and make my way to the guild hall with Lily. When I enter the doors, Levy jumps and hugs me tightly.
"Gajeel thanks for carrying me home last night! I had a lot of fun," she said with happiness and excitement.
"No problem Shrimp, anything for you" I say while stroking her hair.
"Hey do you wanna go on a job with me" Levy says with her puppy eyes. I start getting nervous, but the puppy eyes she gave me were too cute to say no to.
"Sure, I would love to" I say while looking away slightly.
*a few hours later*
We're walking through a forest in search of a giant monster that keeps terrorizing a town. Levy seems a bit too happy considering the monster eats humans for food.
While we walk I hear twigs snap behind us. Levy jumps closer to me in fright and holds my arm while shivering. I get in a fighting stance and stare into the direction of the sound.
"Come out!" I yell to try and get it to come out. We hear a low and sinister growl followed by more twigs snapping. I motion Levy to get behind me. She moves behind me and uses me as a shield. I pick up the scent of a wild animal with a small trace of blood. After standing and waiting for a minute, we start to ease up. When I left my fighting stance a tree started to collapse and fall down where we are. Levy and I jump in different directions and avoid the tree.
"Levy are you ok," I yell over the giant tree that just landed between us.
"I'm fine, but what about you," she says, hoping I'm ok. I look around and spot a humongous lion-like creature before me.
"Levy, don't come over here. I found the monster," I say to Levy as I back away slowly from the Beast.
"I can help you" she says with a worried vibration in her voice.
"No I don't want you to get hurt" I say in concern for Levy. The giant beast pounces at me and I dodge just in time as it cuts my shirt. The monster pins me to the ground as I'm pushing his claws away from me. His jaw starts to open and lower above my face.
"Iron Dragon Roar!" I scream out as a tornado of iron erupts from my mouth and smashes into the beast's throat. The monster flies high into the sky and smashes into the ground. Levy climbs over the tree in a hurry and sees the monsters corpse laying on the ground. She walks up to me and starts examining me.
"Thank god you didn't get hurt" she sighs in relief. I blush and pick the corpse up off the ground. We walk back to the village and receive our reward. By the time we got back to the guild, it was night time.
"I'll see you tomorrow Gajeel" Levy says as she turns to make her way to the girls' dorm.
"Yea I can't wait to see your face again tomorrow" I say while both of us blush a little bit.
"Goodnight" we both say at the same time as we walk back to houses.
