That night Mia was restless, all she could think of was Danny's fists slamming into Logan's face.. Her mind replayed it like a record. Mia stood up from her bed and walked down to the kitchen to get a glass of tap water, She took out a big pink mug that read ;Princess' in large cursive print. She thought back to when Jerry Melgar called her out at the party earlier that night, He had called her "Princess Mia" It was strange hearing that from someone other than Danny or their Dad. She poured water into the mug, took a sip and started down the dark hallway.

Mia halted when she heard the television, She walked in the living room and shut it off.

"Uh, excuse me," Mia jumped and turned around. "I was watching that."

Danny was spread out on the couch, He gestured to the TV waiting for his sister to turn it back on, and so she did. Mia walked over and sat over Danny's knees like she had always done, knowing he'd never sit up to give her room on the couch. The TV screened 'Tom & Jerry' An old cartoon about a cat and mouse who fight wuite a bit.

"Why do they hate each other so much?" Mia looked at Danny.

"They don't, They secretly love each other, They'd be outcasted if they showed it though, Cat and mouse.. They can't love each other." Danny said not looking away from the Television.

"Who cares, I mean I've witnessed a 43 year old dating a 19 year old before." Mia stated.

"Oh yeah, I remember Dad dated her, It didn't last long.." Danny said.

"Yeah because she made moves on you." Mia paused, ".....Cougar." They both laughed.

Mia and Danny used to stay up late and watch cartoons all the time when they were younger, tonight felt like deja vu for the both of them.

The Television shut off.

"What happened?" Mia questioned. Danny held up the remote an waved it in the air.

"I'm going to bed, You should get some sleep too. Danny stood up and stretched his arms out.

"You're right." Mia agreed and stood up also.

"Goodnight" Danny said, he picked up Mia's mug from the coffee table and knocked it back with two big gulps.

"Ah, refreshing" Danny said with a smirk, the first hint of a smile Mia had seen all day.

"Danny! That was mine!" Mia whined, but secretly she didn't care, she was just relieved she even looked at him. Mia crawled back upstairs and into her bed, falling soundly asleep in minutes.
