Chapter 9: Wandering Ninjas

Meanwhile: Outside Konoha

After leaving the village the Uchiha couple left with nothing left. After walking through the dense forest, they stopped by a small town nearby to rest the night with the news of attack yet to reach outside the village they were safe. They knew they would eventually be forced to leave, by pretending to be the culprit, they are branded now as "nukenin", fugitives as a such they will hunted by Konoha shinobi. Both were feeling miserable one, their entire fellow brethren were killed at what looked like a bloodshed, two they couldn't believe that Danzo would betray them after a coordinated effort him between the clan to establish the truce. the fact he orchestrated the whole deal pissed him off as he was responsible for Shisui's death, and three that they left their beloved brothers behind much to their dismay. Izumi became depressed abandoning Naruto like that.

There are many questions lingering their mind. Will Danzo's root come after them after they left? Why did Danzo choose to betray the Uchiha clan after multiple efforts to concede peace and most importantly was framing themselves as culprit the right idea? Because of their decision they have now village to go to. Where do they go now as rouge ninjas?

Itachi wakes up to see Izumi rolling over shaking and sweating all over.

"Izumi-chan must be having a nightmare" said Itachi gently tapping Izumi to wake up from her nightmare. "AAAAHHHH! NARUTO, SASUKE!!!" screamed the frighted Izumi. She then looks up to see her boyfriend very concerned. She snaps out of it soon enough. "It was only a dream thank you Itachi-kun even during this time you always find a way to comfort me."

"I'm guessing you had the same dream as well Izumi-chan. You're sweating let me get you some water" said Itachi as he got out of bed to fill a small cup of water. As he was filling the water, he stared at his own reflection. His face was still bruised from the fight from the masked Madara. He winced in pain touching his ribs. All the adrenaline he had yesterday crashed down causing him frequently to stop so Izumi could tend his injuries. His headband was scratched across and worn to the side. He noticed this turning off the water to adjust his headband as he was doing this his eyes glowed, shifted to the Mangekyo for split second causing him to drop the cup he was holding breaking it.

The sudden noise caused her to jump as she ran frantically to her injured boyfriend. "Itachi-kun are you okay?"

"I'm alright I might have overdone it from using the Tsukuyomi. This new power Shisui gave me is powerful, I only heard about this eye from father come to think about it he told he obtain it from the third great ninja war, but he never told me how" Itachi said.

"There probably is a reason why it's kept a secret from the clan. That genjutsu was nothing like I seen before lord knows what power those eyes contain." She notices Itachi's right soaked with blood. "You're bleeding Itachi-kun let me treat that for you this is third time you've been bleeding out." said Izumi noticing his bleeding eye. She grabs the remaining the remaining bandage and wraps it around Itachi's right eye like an eyepatch. "There you go does it feel better" said Izumi which he nodded.

"Good it seems that power has drawbacks you must not overexert yourself only use it unless you really have to. You drained a lot of chakra using it. Judging by how it been today also seems to affect your vision as well."

"I understand Izumi-chan I see why few Uchiha's possess these eyes. I'll take it easy for tomorrow how about we stay here for tonight until we're prepared away from the land of fire there shouldn't be any shinobi after us at least until I heal up my ribs are still cracked from the fight."

"Speaking of it, lift your shirt so I can see your wound" said Izumi to Itachi complied. Izumi saw the bruise where the blow was landed it was still purple but less purple than yesterday. "I would say about a few days you're very lucky that isn't cracked all the way. How much can you move Itachi-kun?"
