Meeting The Competition

"Man that was weird. The exam hasn't even started and they're already weirdos here trying to compete." Naruto lamented the recent fight. He hated to admit, but he was caught off guard during that fight. If it wasn't for that element of surprise Lee would've beaten him. He cursed himself for losing that element. Now Lee would be on guard next time.

"Naruto was that move you just did? That didn't look like an ordinary clone jutsu." Sasuke asked.

"Oh yeah! What was that move?" Sakura nodded.

"That move? It's an advanced Kage Bushin technique using live clones as bomb. Essentially I could use my copy as a suicide bomb so when the clone explodes, it creates plenty of damage of your opponent." Naruto explained.

"Sounds pretty powerful. I'm pretty sure I saw someone do it before?" Sasuke couldn't place his head.

Sakura saw a large door in front of them. "Looks like we're finally here." Sakura mused.

Team 7 walked towards the room where many of the competing genins. Inside was a large waiting room filled with genins from other villages like Sunagakure and Kirigakure. Some looked around their age, others looked twice as old. Each of them could sense the massive killing intent coming their way.

"So these are the other genins? You think a mere glare will scare me?" Naruto unleashed his own killing intent getting some genins to turn away. Sakura leaned over to hug Naruto in fear of all other genins.

"There are so many chakra signatures, some more stronger than others. I guess I shouldn't be surprised. This is the Chunin exams and I'll be certain to face some in the future." Sakura shivered feeling Gaara's unnatural chakra signatures.

"Yo Naruto, Sasuke you made it!" Kiba approached high fiving both brothers.

"Nice to see you dog breath. I was worried you might be afraid after I saved your ass." Naruto teased.

"Get real Naruto! You think I'll let that happen again? I've been training much harder since then. You'll see that I'm not so helpless! I'll get payback and then we'll see who's the strongest in Konoha!" Kiba challenged showing his fanged smirk.

"We'll see about that." Naruto smirked back before he felt a streak of platinum blonde collided against him. He groaned at who it was.

"I've been looking all over for you Naruto-kun!! I was so lost here due to all the scary shinobi. I know you'll come here to protect me!" Ino arrived in with a seductive smile. Her face was dangerously close to his irking the crap out of Sakura.

The pinkette just dragged her off pulling from long ponytail.

"GET YOUR NASTY HANDS OFF YOU PIG!! EVER HEARD THE WORD PERSONAL SPACE!?" Sakura shouted.

"OW FOREHEAD WHAT'S YOUR PROBLEM? NARUTO ISN'T YOURS SO BACK OFF!!"

"THIS ISN'T EVEN ABOUT THAT, PIG! EVEN SO YOU'RE STILL BOTHERING HIM!!" Sakura pulled even harder.

"So troublesome not even chunin exams has started and you made us look bad." Shikamaru groaned as he witnessed all the other genuine star right at them.

"Is that really Konoha's genin? They must be a walk in the park!!" A dark skinned girl laughed. She had distinct red hair.

"WHAT DID YOU SAY!?" Ino snarled.

"Calm down Ino! You're not being subtle!" Sakura said acting more serious.

"It's what I said blondie. Seeing you girls fight over a boy is so last year!!" She mocked.

This got Ino and Sakura to glare at her, although Ino was much more hostile.

"Look it's the Uchiha brothers! Don't you see the clan symbol. Oh man we're screwed." A dark skinned boy assuming to be her brother said with a lollipop in his mouth.
