As the days went on Liz had grown accustomed to their language, she now knew more about their customes and laws. She did however refuse to make much friends, yes she still had some but not a lot, Liz became friends with the purple haired depressed kid named Shinso.
It took a while at first but eventually the two opened up to each other and became good friends; Liz's other friends were from the business and hero course. Mina Ashido, who practically adopted Liz, Denki Kaminari and Ari Himako. They were decent people and the better part was Ari spoke fluent in English and helped out whenever she struggled to understand the students.
They were also the few who knew about Liz's quirk other than Nezu and some of the teachers. "How come you never smile?" Ari asked suddenly breaking the silence they had drowned themselves in "I do smile, just not a lot." Liz explained calmly staring at her friend who was toying with a rubix cube
"Can you smile for us?" Ari gestured to the others sitting across the table. "I don't know-" Liz cut herself off as Ari pouted with puppy dog eyes. Shyly Liz forces a smile and the whole table- mostly Mina and Ari erupt with joy.

"Liz, can you head to the store and get some ice cream?" Mom shouted from the living room watching my unchanged expression. Nodding I grab my wallet, double checking for the money and slid my boots on.
My mind wandered off the that man from before, a small glimmer of hope spread through me hoping he'd be at the store again. "Liz" Mom called catching my attention as I stood in front of the door, the handle cold to the touch.
"Take a knife with you. I heard there are villains in the area" Mom said tossing me her pocket knife she always had in her purse.
Smiling I tuck the knife into my pocket and walk out the door, closing it behind me. The air was still and warm as it hit my face, it wasn't quiet dark out but it wasn't bright either.

I stood staring at the ice cream in the freezer. It wasn't quite what I was expecting it to be completely out of vanilla- mom's favorite ice cream; grabbing out my favorite mint chocolate chip flavored ice cream I head to the checkout. Throughout the time inside I hadn't seen Dabi anywhere. I don't know why I was so curious about him; my minds been trapped on him since we've first met. His spikey black hair and turquoise eyes, those scars only made him hotter; after I payed for the ice cream I set back home finding comfort in the silence.
Casually strolling towards the stoplight the sound of a fire starting rang through my ears as I passed the alley besides the store. Curious I peak inside the alley seeing it was just some guy lighting a cigar; he took a breath in and breathed out smoke flying into the air as he repeated the motion. "Anata ga mitsumete iru no ga miemasu. (I can see you staring)" The man's face turned towards me, shrugging I walk closer to him blankly staring at the ground
"Gomen. Ē to, watashi wa anata no hamaki no 1tsu o motte iru koto ga dekiru ka dō ka gimon ni omotte imashita (Sorry. Um, I was just wondering if I could have one of your cigars)" I asked bluntly, the man's face doesn't move from his bored stare, instead he just silently hands me one and a lighter to go with it. Lighting the cigar I watch the flame dance in it's place
"Arigatō (Thank you)" I say taking a wiff of the cigar handing him his lighter back; my back pressed against the alley wall as we stared at one another in silence
"Anata no yōna kodomo ga kitsuen shita to wa omowanakatta. Anata no ryōshin wa sore ni tsuite nani o iwanakereba narimasen ka? (Never thought a kid like you smoked. What does your parents have to say about it?)" He asked after a few minutes of silence; dropping the cigar to the ground I squash the bud and let the last puff of smoke leave my lips "Watashinohaha wa watashi ga sore o suru no ga sukide wa arimasenga, kanojo wa watashi ga kesshite kikanai koto o shitte watashi o tomemasen. Amari hinpan ni wa shimasenga, kotoshi wa sutoresu ga tamarimashita. Atarashī gakkō to subete. (My mom doesn't like that I do it but she doesn't stop me knowing I'd never listen. I don't do it too often but this year has been stressful. New school and everything.)" I answered waving my hand in the air as I left the alley.
No one looks over or asks why I smelt of smoke and minded their business.
Only a few minutes away from the house a few grunts could be heard around the corner, a group of guys were beating up some poor soul who forgot to do something for them. But, being the nosey asshole I was went to check it out "Sumimasen, koko de nani ga okotte iru nodesu ka? (Excuse me, what's going on here?)" I asked as the guys stopped beating on whoever was beneath and stared at me
my body tenses as their eyes wandered my black baggy clothes.
"Kono rokudenashi wa kare jishin o gārufurendo ni shimashita ka? Kare ni totte wa sukoshi wakai to omoimasen ka? (Did this bastard get himself a girlfriend? A bit young for him don't you think?)" A brunette haired man laughed looking back at his friends as they stopped and laughed as well, now being able to see the guy they were beating I instantly recognized him as Dabi. "Naze anata wa sono otoko o uchi makashite iru nodesu ka?! (Why are you beating up that guy?!)" I raised my voice clutching the grocery bag in my left hand while my right hand flew up to the edge of my shirt in a fit of rage.
"Otoko wa shiharau no o wasureta. Soshite, naze sore wa anata no bijinesu purinsesu no izurekadesu ka? (Man forgot to pay up. And why is it any of your business princess?)" Another brunette laughed shuffling closer "Anata wa kono atari de atarashīdesu yo ne? (You're new around here aren't you?)" The man slung an arm over my should with an evil grin.
Anger growing by the second; I shove him away and rush towards Dabi, watching his eyes watch me; I crouch in front of him seeing his nose covered in blood with a busted lip, a knife wound slashed across his left thigh, he was missing some staples on his scarred purple skin and had a bruised eye
"Akachan ni kite, naze kare o ki ni suru nodesu ka? Tanoshī jikan o o mise shimasu (come on baby, why care about him? We can show you a good time)" I ignored them and helped Dabi stand, his weight now resting on me.
"Anata wa jibun jishin o hajirubekidesu! (You should be ashamed of yourselves!)" My voice was loud and clear as I helped Dabi walk past them. Clearing my thoughts we silently walk back down the sidewalk and towards my house. "Anata wa tada aruki tsudzukerubekidatta. (You should've just kept walking)" I heard Dabi sigh after a minute of silence
