The sky broke open and lightning struck the earth. The gods sent down a young baby boy who was blessed with the most powerful abilities known to man: wind, earth, water, fire, and lightning. This boy was sent down for one sole purpose. He was to fitful a prophecy and prevent the world from total damnation. There was a powerful demon to be unleashed from the underworld and the gods were becoming restless.
This boy had been placed in an orphanage and was named Malin, meaning little warrior. He was adopted by a young couple and taken to a small village. However, as the boy grew, the gods had lost faith is Malin. He had indulged himself in the pleasures of man. His lovers outnumbered his motive and eventually Malin left a string of children behind.
With his quest no longer a concern Malin's fight for good was left behind and his drive for domination had consumed him. Using his charm, wit, and unstoppable powers Malin made his way to the throne and used his many children for his army.
Eventually, Malin was overthrown by his descendants. Throughout the years, the benders learned more and more about themselves. They studied and enhanced their powers. Not all humans appreciated their skills. Benders were burned at the stake, drowned, jailed, killed, tortured, studied, and eventually forced into hiding. Once and awhile a stray bender would come out of hiding and the counsel would make sure that there wouldn't be any more outbreaks of evil ever again. But evil can't be contained and it has to be defeated. It's time for me to tell that story. It's time for you to know.
