When they had made it back, Max went to the kitchen and started on lunch. "Hey, Max, what are you deciding to make?" Luna asked. Max started looking through a cookbook. "Maybe something higher in protein. when you smiled, I checked your canines and understood you are a carnivore." Luna seemed to blush a bit. But, she was fine with it. "Well, maybe some standard steak. It isn't too hard to cook and some kind of green wouldn't be too bad every now and then, right?" Max saw Luna nodded and agreeing while he was speaking. He smiled and went to work in the kitchen.
Luna sighed and checked out the TV. She hadn't yet figured out everything in Max's house. Luna decided to not mess with the TV as she had no idea what to do with any of it. Bored, Luna decided to go into the kitchen and started watching Max cook. "Do you want to help?" Max asked knowing she would find her way, soon. "Sure, I have nothing else to do." Luna said. Max laughed a bit and started to give advice on how to cut asparagus. "What is this green line?" Luna asked seemingly disgusted. "A very good green. However it gets cold real quick. I like to try other things every now and then. I have had asparagus quite a few times." Luna nodded and kept attention to cutting and his story on foods. He knows a lot about food, Luna had thought. "I picked up cooking from some of my friends. They went and finished high school. I dropped out to help my friend. She got sick a lot. We were practically siblings. Heh, she was the sister I always wanted." He started to tear up. "Oh, yeah, forgot I am still emotional about that." Luna put the knife down and hugged Max. He needed the support and she was the only one there for him. Luna felt she should at least help him through. "It can't be helped sometimes. We have to get through all of this, okay?" Max nodded. "Okay."
As dinner was being finished, They decided to eat on the couch and watched old cartoons. All of the shows were pretty funny to Luna. This mad Max smile and he let her watch. After an hour or two, Max decided to grab both plates and wash them. Luna just watched and giggled every now and then. "Hey, Max, what is a cake? It looks so fluffy." Max's eyes got big and he smiled. "We are making a cake. What kind of cake do you want?" Max started to have a gleam in his eyes about the cake. Luna seemed to be a but worried and appalled by how quick he wanted to just make a cake. "Uhh, What kind do you think I would like?" Luna asked. Max seemed to be lost in thought about cake. "I know this will sound weird. However, we could maybe try a red velvet angel cake. I am not sure at all how this will turn out. But, it will be fun." He smiled and Luna seemed to be on board with the idea.
Some time later, Max and Luna were back in the kitchen working on a cake. Many areas were covered in flour, eggs, and many more cakey and sugary materials. They were having fun just being around each other. This seemed to form a great bond for them both. "Now, that is going to be a great cake!" Max spoke out, seeming excited about trying the cake. "Well, this put you in a good mood." Luna said. Max nodded. "Cake making was a hobby of mine with a lot of my friends. We bet each other 20 dollars to see who had the best cake. I never won a lot. But, we did have some sweet memories." Luna laughed at the pun he made. Max soon realized he made it without even realizing it which soon made him laugh. "We should just try the cake already." Luna said. Max nodded and he started making slices. Each slice wasn't to small yet, it wasn't too big, either. Luna was in awe of the cake as for, she had never seen nor heard about cake. "Dig in." Max said lightly eating the cake. Luna looked back at the cake and started to eat it herself. The fluffiness and softness of the cake made it really good. However, she seemed to cough a lot trying to eat it. Max noticed this and panicked. "Are you okay?" Luna nodded. "It's just really sweet." She started to calm him down. "The chocolate isn't a problem, we have that stuff in our world, as well. It's also identical to our chocolate, as well." Max sighed in relief. "That's good to know. So, next time, we put less sugar in the cake." Luna nodded and finished her piece of the cake. "If you don't want more, you can get another piece."
The cake was finished before the days end by both Luna and Max. Luna didn't eat a lot of it to make sure she doesn't make herself sick. "That was really nice today. I wouldn't mind doing more like that." Luna said calmly chilling out on one half of the couch while Max had the other half. As they watched TV, a heavy rain started to happen. Max listened to the rain and almost fell asleep to it. He didn't because Luna jumped to the sound of thunder. She seemed to get closer to Max as the storm became stronger. "I'm gonna go to bed. Do you need anything?" Luna looked at him seemingly scared. "Do you mind if i rest closer to you tonight?" Max seemed to blush a bit. "Uh, Yeah, sure," Max gave Luna the bed as he decided to rest on the floor.
Luna laid there scared. Max was next to the bed resting. Luna did not like the feeling of being alone on the bed. So, she decided to rest next to him. His body was big enough to cuddle with, which mad Luna happy as she soon fell into a deep sleep.
