Max awoke on the floor with a something small and soft in his hands. He felt very comfortable and hugged it a bit. The soft being soon began to squirm a bit. "You're hugging too tight." Max realized this was Luna and immediately let go. With him looking upset he was about to apologize. However, Luna just put a paw on his mouth. "It's okay. I expected this a bit. It's on me for that one." She got up and pat Max's head and walked out to the restroom. Max got up, got dressed, and checked his phone for any news on his job. He was free all day and could do whatever he wanted for the time being.
Luna was sitting on the couch bored. "How do you not have a brush." Max saw that she was annoyed and nodded. "I'll get one today. I don't have work so we can head out and do somethings. Maybe we can find something to do while we are out." Luna's eyes gleamed with happiness. "Well, that's settled, now. What should we do first?" Max and Luna thought about it for a bit. "Maybe we go to a big shopping area?" Luna asked. Max nodded, "A mall would be a good place to find many neat items and..." Max started to think. "Maybe it's a good idea you put some clothes on, as well." He seemed to blush a bit and Luna realized what he was talking about. "Maybe, no one knows what I am except you, a little." Luna walked up and checked the closet. Some of the clothes she really liked. But, she fell in love with a hoodie of Max's. It was a grey and orange with some logos of sponsors for his ESports team, Final Bastion. The back seemed to have more cool logos and designs on it. She grabbed that and walked out with it on.
Max sat at the front door on his phone waiting as Luna walked next to him. He looked at her and smiled. "The first hoodie the team got. That's a good one." Luna blushed. "It's a bit big on me. But, I like it anyway." Max smiled and pat her head. "Let's get going." He said with a smile.
The ride wasn't long. But, they didn't really speak much as for there wasn't much to say. When the mall was in sight, Luna was in awe at how big it seemed. Max had been here many times. So, it just felt like another building to him. As for Luna, it was a brand new world waiting to be explored inside and out. This had given Max some hope. "What are we going to do? What kind of stuff do they have? What kind of allowance do I have?" Luna started ask many questions. But, Max did not seem to be fazed by the question. "We will start with the first floor. Then, we will work on the second. Have fun looking at all the items, trinkets, and clothing. If you want it, I can give it to you." Max seemed to be very pleased with his frugal spending. He had over a million dollars in his bank and was ready to use that money for someone else.
When they walked in, Luna was amazed by everything around her. However, she did not like the amount of people walking around. When they made it to one of the stores, a small child walked towards her and tugged at her fur making Luna jump. The kid seemed to be curious of her. Max smiled and knelt down. "Hey, you lost?" The kid nodded. "We can help you find them if that's what you need." The kid seemed to be very calm around Luna and Max. They soon made it to a desk and got the kid to their parents. "Thank you so much." The mother said. "It's no problem. Nice to see a family reunited once again." Luna snickered at how Max spoke to them. Max turned to see her laughing at him and he blushed a bit. "Well, I bet they don't call you Mister Hero, do they?" She seemed to be having a little fun teasing him. Max put a finger on Luna's snout. She seemed to become quiet and blushed a bit. "Hey, how come no one is surprised about my appearance?" Luna asked. Max thought for a second and figured it out. "Some people dress up like you. I can bet they think you are my daughter, based on both mine and yours height, and they don't really care about how some people dress nowadays. However, it doesn't mean that there won't be consequences for what you wear outside of your house." Max shuddered a bit and looked back at her. "Well, let's keep exploring."
Shop after shop, Luna had found many neat new items like books, comics, little puzzles, and some new hoodies that had the same color scheme as the one she was wearing. "Hey there cutie, your father bring you here?" a cashier asked. Luna blushed and stuttered. However, she couldn't say anything. "No, she has been a friend of mine for a while and we finally got to meet." Max said without hesitation. The cashier nodded and smiled. "Well, your items are in that bag to your left. Have a good day." Max smiled and grabbed the bag of clothes and pat Luna's shoulder. "Not many people out here know me. However, it doesn't mean I am an outsider. I choose not to bring many people into my life in fear of losing them later in life." Luna seemed upset about it but, kept that in her mind for a second. "How come you haven't made me leave?" Luna asked seeming to become a bit upset with him. "Because, I feel that many people want you for wrong things and I feel that you were brought to me for a reason. However, I want to try and bring you home. Does that sound good?" Luna nodded. She smiled and hugged him. "Thank you for being there." Max hugged back and smiled. "Wouldn't have it any other way."
