The moment between the two had been completely torn from her mind the moment she'd seen the troll. It was clearly a Gumm-Gumm, but even so, it wasn't doing anything but wandering through the woods. The woods far enough away from Camelot it should have been fine to let him go free.

That was not the case in Arthur's mind. Once he saw the creature, he'd made up his mind. When the arrow only startled it, the knights threw chains around its wrists and awaited Steve to take its life. When he hesitated and ultimately got knocked back, Arthur himself sealed its fate, kicking it back into the sunlight and watched it turn to stone.

It was a terrible sight she never wanted to see.

"That... That was awful..." She breathed out, fists clenched to try and hide the trembling. She was sick, hearing the cheering coming from the king and his knights.
"H-how could someone just..."

Douxie's own expression twisted in his attempt to hide the unsettling feeling in his chest. He stayed by her side, but he couldn't figure out what to say to help her feel better about the situation.

Morgana stood on Nimue's other side, and she could see the horror in her eyes. Her own eyes darkened, but she placed a hand on the brunette's shoulder.
"I wish I could give you the answer to that question. No kind being would ever inflict such cruelty on another." She fought to keep herself from saying such through gritted teeth, fingers tightening just slightly on Nimue's shoulder.

The girl looked up at the sorceress, looking over her face and seeing the anger welling. Knowing that Morgana had to deal with things like this in her everyday life was something Nimue couldn't fathom.

How could she help stop this? She had no weapon of her own, no magic to use and no idea what might alter time so drastically she couldn't fix it.

She felt so useless.

"Morgana, I... How can I--" She was about to ask what she could do to aid in ending the slaughter, but that was when a snarl ripped through their little clearing, interrupting any conversation taking place.

The group quickly turned to see a large, burly black troll with a sword strapped to his back leering over the boulder Steve had been slammed against when the other troll had struck him.

Steve screamed when he was picked up by the back of his armor and thrown aside once more like a rag doll, the knights once again in arms and ready for an attack.

"Bular the Butcher!" Lancelot exclaimed, hands tightening on his sword hilt while staring down the brute who drew his own stone sword.

"The Gumm-Gumm Prince himself." Galahad glowered, raising his weapon and taking stance by Lancelot's side.

Nimue's eyes widened hearing that name, gaze glued to the bull like-troll.
"That's Bular...?!"

She'd only heard that name from Jim and the others. Never did she meet him face to face. He was far more intimidating than she'd pictured.

Before she could manage to say anything else, Douxie quickly pulled her back and behind himself. His eyes didn't leave Bular, knowing exactly what he was known for.
"Stay behind me, Nim." His voice was more serious than she'd heard before.

Despite the fact she wanted to help, something told her that in this particular case, she'd end up being more of a liability than anything. She decided not to argue.

"Just... be careful, Doux." She wanted to plead, but her voice failed her.

Shouting ensued while Bular thrashed a few of the knights in his way before finally coming to blows with Arthur.
"I'll drink your blood out of a goblet made from your skull!" He spat, swinging ferociously as the fight went on.
"I'll carve you open! Let your guts spill out!"
