[AN]

Hey guys! Just a quick note prior to the chapter. I'm going to try to keep to the plot as much as I can, but there will be differing scenes considering the addition of a character. There are some parts of dialogue I'll summarize but may not write. If I stick completely to the script, you'll basically be reading what you've already watched.

In addition, I'm planning on Nimue either discovering she's able to learn magic, or having a very distant relation to some kind of nature spirit she was unaware of. Normally, I wouldn't go out of my way to make my OC super special, but in this case it's for the fact Douxie is relatively immortal. (Age wise, at least.) Considering this story is following the relationship between the two, she needs a way to stop aging and I'd rather it not be a spell.

Either she finds she can use magic, or she is very far descended from a nature spirit! Leave a comment on which you guys would like to see happen later in the story!

This wasn't exactly what she'd imagined she'd be doing the day prior. Sure, she'd already seen some weird things since moving to Arcadia such as trolls and aliens, but being sent back in time and being surrounded by knights at sword point was an entirely new ordeal. It didn't surprise her that magic was real after the prior invasions, but time travel hadn't even crossed her mind.

"I said," the knight started, removing his helmet to reveal his rather handsome face, "what manner of sorcery is this?" His voice remained stern eyes on the group of kids.

Steve was in awe of the handsome knight, muttering compliments about the man from behind Jim's crystal.

"You know, it's rude aiming a sword at people you don't know." Nimue huffed, eyeing the knight who had his sword leveled at her.

The man seemed to hesitate at her bluntness, glancing to the handsome knight who looked exasperated.

"Keep your sword where it is, soldier." He said in minor annoyance.

"Sir Lancelot, um--" Douxie started.

"He's so handsome." Steve said.

"I-- We--" Douxie attempted to find a way to explain their sudden appearance, but he couldn't manage to get a word in.

"Wait! Aren't you Merlin's errand boy?" Lancelot's eyes narrowed at Douxie, watching him closely.

"Apprentice." Douxie corrected with an annoyed glare.

"Wow, rude." Nimue scoffed, crossing her arms over her chest.
"I thought knights were supposed to be polite and chivalrous."

Douxie stifled a laugh, shooting Nimue a grin.

Lancelot looked taken aback for a split second but shook it off with a cold look.

It was then that the green crystal Jim was in started to crack under the weight of Steve who'd been leaning on it.

Everyone jumped back in surprise, watching as the lines spider webbed further and further.

"The devil--?" Lancelot readied his sword again, only for the crystal to shatter, an armor clad hand reaching up from the shards of rubble.

Jim managed to push himself up, groaning in discomfort.
"What? How did I--?"

"Jim!" Claire exclaimed, rushing to his side.
"Are you okay?" She rested her hands on his shoulders, helping to keep him up.

"Troll!" Lancelot cried in panic.
"Troll! To arms!"

Douxie scrambled to his feet, rushing to get between Lancelot's sword and Jim, who was being pulled close by Claire.
