Elgan took a sip of his drink before placing it on the table. The bar was crowded and the front counter they usually sat at was taken so they grudgingly chose one of the many tables but even here the choices were limited. He looked at Treasa who watched Alora whose eyes were drifted off to another reality, so Elgan stared at Alora as well who in return blankly stared at the end of the table.
"Earth to Alora, can you hear us?" Treasa waved her hand in front of the nurse and Alora snapped out of her thoughts, hectically looking between her best friends. "What? What did you say?!"
Treasa had to laugh into her fist at her colleague's puzzled expression and shook her head. "I didn't say anything. The question is you zooming out of this dimension – where are you lately? Are you alright? You haven't talked about Jun in days, did he just disappear like the little cruiser he is?"
Just hearing his name again started a firework inside of her and Alora blushed, shaking her head. "Uhm, yeah, kind of."
"Yeah, I was wondering too. I haven't seen him in the hospital for so long, did he hurt your feelings?" Elgan pushed up his sleeves jokingly and Alora covered her eyes, laughing. "No, nothing, I just- I told him to not come to the hospital to annoy me. I don't want to lose my job because he just...shows up uninvited. I was able to tell other nurses he's here for checkups of his mother. But I can't keep lying to them so...I told him to keep his ass at home."
"Well," Elgan leaned his cheek into his hand that rested on the table and averted his gaze somewhere else, "I don't think he can keep his ass home for too long."
Alora crossed her arms after fixing her ponytail. "I hope not..."
"No, I meant he's here." Elgan pointed behind Alora and the woman turned her head so fast she thought she was going to get a concussion. Her heart raced at the sight of him chuckling as he entered and she couldn't stop herself from thinking back to whatever the hell happened in the breakroom four days ago. Alora herself woke up the day after the incident and thought she had dreamed it – it just felt surreal. And because of that she also decided to not tell her friends about it either, at least not yet. However, they noticed the blue-haired woman was zoning out lots of times but Alora couldn't help it, her mind wouldn't stop replaying these moments. It was too vehement, and she loved every second of it.
Alora noticed that Jun hasn't been looking around too much and therefore didn't caught sight of the nurse. She saw him greet a tall, blonde man and joyfully talked with him.
She then looked back at her friends, making herself a little smaller as to not be seen by Jun and Alora flushed like a ripe tomato. "There's a thing...I haven't told you guys yet...I'm kinda avoiding him but at the same time I don't want to be avoided by him...but it's a little quiet around us at the moment..."
"Say one word and I'm throwing hands." Treasa was now the one balling her fists and Alora lowered her friend's lifted hand back down on the table. "No, I- oh god, okay how do I start?"
