The Week(e)nd

I wake up and I see no one on my bed besides myself. Where's Rick? I get up and walk to the living room where I see him on his phone laying down on the couch.

He looks up.

"Hey," he tells me.

"Hi," I reply back.

I walk to the couch and I sit down. I lay on his shoulder and he does the same to me.

I pull out my phone and I play 'The Zone ft. Drake' by the Weeknd. His bare skin on my head feels so good.

I end up laying my head on his lap and we look at each other. We walk back to my room and the song is still playing.

I turn on my TV and some infomercial is playing. I turn it off and I just end up being on my phone. I look up and I see Rick rubbing his chest over and over. I couldn't stand to see myself freeze knowing that he seems like he wants to get intimate with me and that I'm single.

A few minutes later we walk to Monica's house.
She opens the door and immediately tells us we have to be ready at 5 for a party at 6. Its our friend Katy's birthday.

We eat cereal at her house as she's watching the same infomercial I was watching earlier.

I barely finish my cereal and me and Rick both walk to her couch. We sit and we talk about what gift we're gonna bring her. Monica is going to get some perfume at Macy's, Rick is getting her a shirt that says "Katy's A Bad Bitch!", and I'ma get her a golden watch.

We talk for a good hour and Rick and I walk to my house. We walk straight to my room to grab what I'ma wear to her party.

We walk out of my house and we walk to Rick's. We walk into his room and he pulls out a shirt and a pant. We stay in his room as we listen to the radio. I start dancing a bit and he joins in. We're both laughing as I fall on his bed. He falls next to me and we're looking right at each other. We smile. Oh his eyes are looking right at me. His blue eyes shine bright than anything else. Why doesn't he ask me out right here? Why?

5pm comes around and we both walk to Monica's where Jacklyn and Amber are already there.

We ride in Monica's mom's car and she drops us off at Katy's. The party seems to be going smooth, and then a fight happened between Katy's boyfriend and her ex. Rick wanted to stop the fight, but I backed him off of the situation. We leave the party around midnight and we all crash at Monica's house.

We wake up the next day and we all feel like we had a hang over. When we all wake up, we all decide to go to the movies. We watch some scary movie called "The Exorcism". When we left the theaters, Rick walked me to my house. When we got to my doorway, we hugged. The thing that threw me off was that he kind of kissed me. He kissed me? Wait. When he kissed me, he did it lightly on my cheek. I didn't say anything but after I just walked in my room without a word and without even stopping to say hi to my mom, I lay in my bed and think about that kiss over and over and over and over.
