I knew it!!

Lazarus POV

"What happened love,did you see anything that is making you feel scared" I ask as I saw her tense up

"I saw a dragon" She whispered
"It flew from there to there and then just disappeared through a portal" She continues pointing the directions

"Oh... That must have been the dragon king... He did say he wanted to pay a visit. " I said

"Anyways... What I was trying to say before he interrupted us was that I love you Elizabeth... I love you so much. I hope you can look past all my cruel unforgivable mistakes and that we can start a life... Just how mated couples are meant to be living" I said.

The small little frown adorning her face slowly disappeared a bright addictive smile took its place

"I love you too Lazarus... Even when you were cruel and heartless I knew there was still a bit of love behind it all and I was determined to find it ... I knew one day you would come around. " She said smiling

I smile brightly... I don't think I ever smiled this brightly before but today these words spoken by my mate set a new type of fire to my heart.. Now no matter what happens.. I will never let her go... Never let any harm come her way.. I will protect cherish and love her with all the heart and soul I have left.

I slowly leaned in and kissed her delicate rosy lips, something I always wanted to do but never got the chance to do so. I was so happy when she began to kiss me back. There was no fight for dominance , the only feeling passing through us during the kiss was love, the love, the purity of our bond which I should have shown her earlier... Now for the rest of the days I shall be looking after her and trying to undo my mistakes.

Once the kiss was over, I pulled her in a hug, her body felt so nice , moulding perfectly along with mine.

"You know Liza, I'm so happy that your my soul mate, any other lady would have ran away by now or would have been finding ways to kill me for my behaviour, but you my love, have always been watching my back. Thank you" I said as we swayed to the owls hooting  in the dark.

"Even when you were giving me the cold shoulder, Zar you were always watching out for me... So I guess I have go thank you for that" She said as she gave a soft smile

"I was just doing my duty in a not so friendly manner, no need go thank me darling" I said kissing her forehead

"As was I, so you don't need to thank me either" She said as she leaned her head on my chest.

"It's time for us to go back to the main castle sweetheart" I said as I scooped her in arms

"Lazarus what does the future hold for us" She asked as I laid her down on the bed pulling the blanket around us.

"I don't know sweetheart, the only thing I know is that my future is with you" I said and she nodded

"Zar I miss my world, I feel.. Homesick" She whispered

"I know sweetheart... Very soon you and I shall visit the human realm. " I said and she nodded

The morning after the night I confessed my love in a graveyard, hand in hand I walked my mate down the stairs and led her to the Royal dining room where my friends and other Royal advisories were sitting, they all stood up when they saw me, my close friends new who Elizabeth was but the others didn't and they all kept staring at her, some of them had thoughts about feeding of her making me growl. I may not read minds bit I could tell what a person was thinking by their body posture. My growl was enough to stop them from staring at my girl. Like she was their food

"Good morning site, date I ask who this dame is? " Asked one of the advisories

"My mate your queen" I said as I pulled a chair put for her to sit on. She smiled up at me ignoring the gasps around me I smiled back and kissed her.

Without sparring a glance I told them my final decision

"As per the recent wars and protests in the kingdom, the crown has come to the decision that democracy shall be established in the kingdom, the crown shall interfere ot with matters falling under kingdom emergency and also shall be the final voice to sanction any new law. " I said and the others nodded.

"Sire was this your decision or your human mates decision" Asked one of the advisories.

"It was a mutual decision taken by your king and queen. I shall say this once , those who dare oppose the queen and insult her shall be executed public ally with or without the Democrats councils support." I said and the other immediately silenced and nodded offering their loyalty to their queen

"Elections for the Royal council parties shall be held on the first day of the next month" Said Lizzy

"Royal parties can send in their names but the end of this week" She further continued.

She then turned to one of the advisories

"It's your duty that word spreads through out the kingdom that democracy and monarchy shall co exist in this realm" She said and the advisor nodded before calling up some media to. Give statements.

I saw one of the servants pour Lizzy a glass of orange juice. Using my. Powers I checked for its purity, satisfied that I wasn't poisoned I watched Lizzy take a sip.

"Sweet heart I think we have earned ourselves a date. What do you say about going and exploring storm halt with me." I asked and she nodded.

"I would. Love to see your realm Zar" She said smiling

"It's a date then sweetheart, be ready in an hour" I said as I went to arrange for some stuff for our date.
