Luke
I entered my home, it felt strange opening the door and going inside. Just because of the fact that I never had a reason to go outside before school started, so I never used the door.
As I entered the kitchen I heard humming coming from the living room, it was to a tune of something that I couldn't quite remember but was positive I heard it somewhere before.
I dropped my bag on the floor near the garbage bin and followed the sound, it lead me to where I knew it would, the living room. I stood at the door entrance to the living room, watching my mom as she read the magazine. She hadn't noticed I was there yet, although I was pretty sure I was quite loud. I smiled at my mom, she looked so peaceful and I never wanted that to end for her.
I quietly turned myself around and headed for the stairs to go to my room. As I went up the stairs I was debating on what I would do in there. Masturbate? No, I wasn't in the mood. Read? Nice joke Luke, I thought to myself. I gripped the wooden railing to support me as I was practically pulling myself up the stairs. They seemed so long.
When I finally got to the top I analyzed the hallway, it was empty, and most importantly, quiet. The flashbacks of me playing with my brothers Jack and Ben were boggling in my mind, it was great. It was always loud, the house was filled with laughter and mischief, I missed those days. But I've grown up now, everyone has, including my brothers who have now moved on with their lives.
I shook my head to bring me back to reality. I sighed and continued walking to my bedroom door and opened it, revealing a dump. Yes, a dump. Clothes were throw on the ground, old orange peels sitting on the window sill, and the trash hasn't been throw out in forever, the trash smell replaced the vanilla scent I had months ago. It didn't bother me too much, I just wish I had the energy to maybe clean things up once in a while, but I kept promising myself I would do it someday. That someday will never come.
I waddled through some of the junk on my floor until I made it to my bed. I sat down and kicked off my shoes while uncovering my bed from the shirts I had throw this morning, revealing my laptop. A little excitement ran through my body, I had totally forgotten about my laptop. I quickly got comfortable on my bed and opened the screen, logging in. I opened the browser but just sat there, blankly looking at the screen. What should I look up? I thought.
"Uhhhh.." I groaned as I thought about what I should put into the search bar. I finally thought of something and tapped my fingers along the keyboard, and pressed search. I scrolled through the websites, only clicking on the ones that seemed interesting and legit to me. None of them seemed to meet my expectations until I stumbled upon a website called 'OnlineChat.com' Simple name, straight to the point, I thought. I clicked on the website and quietly chuckled, I liked it. I didn't even bother looking around the website before I clicked on the 'Sign Up' button on the top right corner of the screen. It asked for a username and password.
I honestly thought long and hard about my username. I grumbled under my breath, frustrated at the fact that I couldn't come up with a simple username, so I searched up one of those username generators.
First Name? Luke.
Last Name? Hemmings.
Date of birth? July 19, 1996.
It was loading and I was actually quiet excited to find out what my cool new username would be. I watched the loading bar for a few more seconds before a bold name popped onto the screen. "Julemmo96?" I questioned with disgust. I shook it off anyway, knowing that I was only signing up for the online chat for today, since I was bored.
I clicked on the other tab which took me back to OnlineChat.com, I then entered my new username. "Julemmo96..." I said while typing it. Now my password, which was the easiest part.
"lukeisboss1996" I chuckled at the password knowing that I've been using it since I was 9 years old. After putting in my username and password I finally was able to press 'Submit'. And there it was again, the loading icon. This time I had to wait a few minutes instead of a few seconds.
After waiting for quite a while I was finally brought to an online list, I studied it. There was a 'Search' bar with a tiny microscope, which I was guessing was to look up usernames so you can chat with them. And in the list contained usernames, they had a green dot next to their username to signify that they were online, and there were red dots to signify if that user was offline. Common sense, I thought.
I scrunched up my nose, smelling the horrible smell of the garbage next to my bed, but I ignored it and put my attention back to the website. I scrolled through the list until I found an interesting enough name to chat with. \
After a few seconds of scrolling I finally found a decent enough user, I read it out loud, 'Pizza4NoOne" I giggled while saying it, it was funny, but a stupid kind of funny. I clicked on the user and the screen immediately brought me to a chat room that took up my whole screen. I was honestly nervous, even if they couldn't identify who I was since It was just chatting, and there weren't any profile pictures either.
I stared at the screen for a while, thinking about what I should say. Hi or Hey? I thought. I slightly jumped when I saw the icon of what looked like someone was typing. Ding! It made a sound whenever you received a message. How cool, I thought while slightly smiling. I read the message squinting, even though there was no reason to.
Pizza4NoOne: waddup.
Julemmo96: Hi.
Pizza4NoOne: you know you type boring, right? spice things up a bit.
I was slightly offended at what he just sent me, even though deep down I knew he was right, so I decided to type with a bit more, 'spice'.
Julemmo96: yooo, dawg. how's it going??? I just got back from sch00l, how bout you homeslice? :-)
Pizza4NoOne Disconnected.
"Oh." Is all I could say, I honestly felt a bit rejected. But I didn't let one guy ruin my afternoon.
I basically sat on my laptop all day and night on this website, it was addicting. But no one seemed friendly, which was a bit of a buzz kill. But I knew after the first hour of being on this website that I wouldn't get off for a really long time.
It was fun.
A/N: So I tried making this chapter much more longer since my other chapters are pretty short. bUT HEYYY IM FINALLY GETTING INTO THE STORY, IT"S ALL COMING TOGETHERRRR! :-))))
Do you think Luke should be on the website or is he just wasting his time?\
