[ 4 ] - departure

Goodbye i-land....

Today was my last-ish day in korea,,

Security check didn't go well, with my i-land badge still sitting my pocket. I forgot to take it out while walking through the metal detector, before I could explain what it was I burst into tears unable to form the right words in my mouth. I was emotionally unstable during that period but all I got from that crying session were weird glances from businessmen and travellers and the security guard who thought I was high on something as I mumbled the word "hybe" NOT HIGH DAMMIT.

It took an hour for them to make sure I was cleared and allowed to leave security check, damn.

But they didn't take my i-land badge away from me,

I dont know if thats supposed to be good or bad

I looked down at my watch 5pm, my flight back to Canada left at 7pm which meant I had 2 full hours to feel the emotional environment while I was still in korea. 

I walked in the nearby convenience store to buy jellies and chips (i love jellies and chips), ding

"Hello!" the store keeper greeted me

"Hello" I said back

The store keeper examined me as she raises an eye brow

"Oh mo!" she cups her mouth with her hands

"Are you traveling alone young girl?" she asks

"ah ye" I answered a bit shy

"how old are you?"

"uh- 13"

"aigooo~~ traveling by yourself must be so stressful! make sure to eat a lot and take care of yourself ok?" she smiles at me

"ah thank you, thank you" I smile awkwardly

I ring up the 5 jellies and 3 bags of chips on the counter

As the lady scans my items something on the TV suddenly catches my eye

"Ever since last week's incident under the responsibility of Hybe Entertainment, Director Kang Ji Hoon's response to the incident, tells the people to "sit tight" and that they have it all under control,"

A clip is rolled of news spokes people mobbing one of the directors I saw earlier yesterday during the broadcast interruption while entering a building

"Locals are further questioning Hybe's credibility and trust as to, what they will do about the recent suicide and overdosages"

"Meanwhile, Hybe's first new girl group "PANDORA" just introduced today will be debutting in 2 months, fans are curious in what Hybe's latest comeback will be... Will this save Hybe Entertainment's legacy and win back it's big title back? Or will this girl group end up to be just another rookie girl group"

I silently grunt while turning over at the store keeper, 

"that will be 10,000 won (10 dollars CAD)"

I paid her, thanked and then left the store

I check in the plastic bag to see an extra popsicle added

I turn around "uhm, ma'am? you-"

"Have a nice day" she smiled over at me as if she slided in the free popsicle as I was galancing at the tv
