Nyssa's POV:

The next morning, I rushed towards the throne room, my hand placed on the dagger strapped to my thigh. "سوف أقتلك (I am going to kill you)," I screamed as I ran towards my father's throne. His hand swiftly captured my blade, leaving a thin cut along his palm as he pushed me away.

"Nyssa, my heir, what have you done," he yelled in anger as he unsheathed his sword. "How could you attempt to make me kill my own beloved, you're a monster," I said as I picked up a fallen sword nearby and stood in a fighting stance. My father circled me, waiting for my next move, ready to defend himself from my anger.

He shook his head and spat "that girl is not your beloved". I lunged towards him, sword in hand. My attacks became unhinged and fast. My father struggled to defend himself as I ruthlessly swung my sword at him. "My child, you are not holding back," he laughed as he swiftly turned his blade to defend my lower attacks.

We continued to fight until my exhaustion had caught up to me. I knelt before my father as he held his sword to my throat. "You have impressed me today, heir to the demon," he said as he watched me catch my breath. As he turned, I pulled an arrow from my quiver and dug it deep into his thigh.

My father turned to face me once more, snapping the end of the arrow off his leg. "You will no longer train our assassins, you are training with me. I can make you a better fighter than before. You will be merciless. My true heir," he whispered the last part with a wicked smile across his face.

I shakily stood up and left the throne room to attend to the injures my father had left me during our fight.

Sara's POV:

I woke up with a smile on my face. Nyssa still loved me, she couldn't kill me. I gently stretched my limbs and turned to find that the bed was empty. A small note was left on the sheets, I picked it up and read it.

My beloved, I have gone to confront my father in hopes that he shall perish under my blade. I shall return as soon as I can. -Nyssa

I placed the note back on the bed and stood up, quickly pulling on a change of clothes. Nyssa was an incredible fighter but her father would not hold back. She could not beat him, I had to stop her before it was too late. I pulled on some leather boots and swung the door open to find an injured Nyssa, slumped against the doorway.

"Nyssa," I whispered as I pulled her into the room. She groaned and sat on the end of the bed. I knelt before her, holding her bloody hands. "What happened?" I asked as a small stream of blood ran from Nyssa's hairline. "I fought my father for hours, until I couldn't fight any longer," she said as I looked up at her with concern.

"Nyssa, he could have killed you, what were you thinking," I said with anger in my tone. She nodded and said "I know, but h-he would have been responsible for your death if I hadn't controlled myself. I could have lost you, Sara". A tear escaped from her dark eyes, as I wiped it away with my thumb I asked why she was still alive.

"He wants to train me, he wants me to be merciless, his true heir," she said as her voice cracked from dehydration. I gently shook my head as I stood up to retrieve a cup of water.

She winced as she took the cup from me and carefully took a sip. "Where are you hurt?" I asked as I looked for breaks in her armour. "I am fine," she said as she placed the cup on the floor. "Show me," I said as I gently kissed her forehead and helped her to stand.

Nyssa placed her weapons on a nearby table and slowly took off her armour. There were rips in the shirt and pants she wore beneath her armour. I stepped towards her and gently removed her shirt, examining the cuts and bruises that covered her torso. "Nyssa," I whispered as I rested my forehead against hers.

"I am fine, my beloved" she said as she wrapped me in her embrace. We stood there and hugged for a few minutes before I held her hand and led her to lay on the bed. "I think you have treated me enough times for me to know how to make sure you're okay," I said as Nyssa held herself up on her elbows and watched me prepare the paste.

I returned with the wooden bowl and gently applied it to her cuts before bandaging them. I then brought a towel and wiped away her blood. She looked up at me and whispered "thank you, my beloved". I smiled and softly kissed her. I had missed being with Nyssa, it had been a while since we had time to talk.

Nyssa gently opened her mouth, deepening the kiss. I ran my tongue along her lower lip, hearing a low moan escape from her. She then sat up, pulling me into her lap as she continued to kiss me, as I ran my finger tips down her sides. Nyssa then sat back with a smirk before pulling my top over my head. She then looked me up and down before kissing me again.

I shifted in her lap, pressing my knee between her legs, feeling her warmth as I slowly pushed against her. She threw her head back and groaned, allowing me to kiss along her neck. As I continued to kiss her neck, moving down to her collarbone, I removed our pants, putting my knee against her again. I licked back up along her neck and took her bottom lip between my teeth, listening to her moans get louder.

She thrusted her hips up pressing harder against me as she grabbed my waist. She then stopped me and quickly pulled off both our panties before grabbing my thigh and placing it over her hip so we were against each other. We both kept grinding while Nyssa kissed along my jaw, as I moaned in her ears. We continued until we both felt a build up of ecstasy and moaned each other's name.

We then laid on the bed, asleep in each other's arms. After a while I woke up and watched as Nyssa slept. I gently kissed her forehead before getting up for a cup of water.

As I walked closer to the door, I could hear voices in the hallway. I listened in as a woman said "did you hear about the earthquake in Starling City? I doubt any of them will be alive". I dropped my cup as fear ran through me. "My family," I gasped.
