Accepting new change

    Shego and Tayo bowed with a smile, before walking off. I walked off with Emily. I had invited the twins and the other Punk Buddies to the gala part of the ceremony. "Hi Liam, hey Leah". "Hey Inko", they smiled. "This is really true, you're royalty", Leah said, laughing. 'Yeah, I still can't believe it, it's hard to believe a royal would have so many scars", I said, pointing to the bullet graze on my neck. "Heroes have scars", Liam added. "Well I hope you guys have plenty of fun at the party, you really deserve it". "Everyone get ready", a voice yelled.  I turned around to see Liam on the stage with a microphone in his hand. "We are all here to award and thank Duchess Inko for her amazing character and becoming a royal. We will now step on the balcony for everyone to see her",

    I walked up to Liam holding his hand and felt weird yet it was a good situation. I stepped onto the balcony and looked down at goodies and bandits standing together. "This is exactly what I've always wanted to see. Goodies and Bandits standing in the same area and place, not being treated like one is better than the other", I shouted to the large crowd. As the crown delivered to me was placed on my head I announced, "I am here to say that I am now the current ruler of Trap City". Everyone clapped and screamed. "I'm going to make sure there is change, and bandits will live amazingly without risk of harm". "Duchess Inko is also here to be honored. She fought in a great fight that could've killed bandits and goodies together. If not for her some of us wouldn't be here".

    Emily walked onto the balcony. I grabbed her hand, "I Duchess Inko, are going to protect Trap City with my life, heart, and soul". I walked back inside while everyone clapped and cheered. The party went on for a bit longer, everyone came inside. Goodies and Bandits were socializing, it was amazing. Once the party ended and I got my badge and trophy I went home with Emily. When we walked in I took off my heavy crown and the stilettos. "I'm most likely never gonna wear that outfit again". Emily laughed, "Hey maybe you'll get awarded again, you never know". "Yeah, okay". "Inko". "Yeah"? "You're the greatest person I know, friend, ruler, warrior... everything". I smiled at her kind words, "Thank you". Emily and I lived our lives like normal, except having to steal and deal with bad bandits.

    More food, clothes, and other stuff was imported into Trap City. Taxes weren't as much and Trap City slowly started to become a good place. Restaurants and shops started to hire employees and people started to get jobs. Everything was going perfect.That was until I awoke to a knock on the door. I opened it and it was Liam. "Sup Liam, is something wrong"? He pulled out handcuffs and smiled. "Yes, very". I was put in cuffs and another soldier cuffed Emily. "What the hell are you doing"! "Arresting you", he shot back. "Why, what did I do"? "You've committed the crime of defying the rules and will of life". "What"! "You and Emily are dating and you're both women". "Emily and I aren't dating, we're friends". "You sleep in the same house-". "We have different bedrooms"! I screamed as they dragged me into the car.

    Shego was nearby and stopped the officers as they were putting me in the car. Meanwhile I watched them drive Emily away. "What're you guys doing, she's the Duchess", Shego shouted. "We're sorry Lady Shego, but your sister has committed an egregious act". "What did she do"? "She confided with a woman". "What, that's legal in Trap City"! "But she's a part of the Royal Council of the country, meaning she checks out as a legal RingTown citizen". "You can't do this"! They shoved me in the car, "We can". I managed to get out of the cuffs and got out of the car before they closed the door. I punched Liam in the face. And he shoved my arms behind my back before kicking me in the ankles. He slammed me onto the ground and I hit my head. Everything went dark.
