"Oh my God, your dad approved! I told you!""Pip, shut up!" Delancey scolded as they walked up the steps to the library.
School had finally started again and now both Delancey and Piper were on their way to meet up with Ashton in the library, to have their usual tutoring session, except this time Piper insisted on tagging along. They stepped through the doors and looked around, expecting to see the library deserted as usual.
"Seriously, people should start learning to appreciate this place more." Piper whispered, shaking her head to herself.
Delancey shrugged, not disagreeing with her friend's statement but also not having any idea to comment, and together the two started walking toward the usual table, where Ashton was already waiting for them along with an unexpected guest.
Suddenly Piper stopped in her tracks when she saw who it was.
"You know what, Dee? I think I'm heading back to our dorm… I feel like I'm having a stomachache."
Delancey looked at her blonde friend and knowing that her best friend was lying, smiled teasingly.
"Oh, why now? You were the one who was so excited to join our study session today." she teased.
"Yeah, but that was before I found out Julian is gonna be here as well! Please, just let me go back to our dorm." Piper pleaded but Delancey shook her head and continued dragging her along.
"You were always the one like "if you like somebody, go for it" so now here is your chance!"
Piper huffed at this, not knowing where Delancey got this sudden playful attitude but not feeling the need to ask, and rolled her eyes. "Well, at least tell me I look okay." she pulled Delancey with her to hide behind one of the bookshelves and she turned to her best friend. "Is my hair okay? How about this pimple on my forehead?"
"Darling, you look perfect as always." Delancey complimented, which made Piper beamed and gave her a hug.
"I'm nervous though. It's Julian." she said, though her voice was muffled since she buried her face into Delancey's shoulder who was slightly taller than her.
"You'll be fine! You've got nothing to worry about. Let's go, I don't want to finish up my homework late." the head prefect patted her friend's back and pulled away from the hug.
As the two girls rushed back to the table and finally approached the other two boys, Ashton gave them a smile while Julian just sat there awkwardly and maybe a bit nervous at the sight of the head prefect.
"Right, so, Skinny, I think you already know Piper?" Ashton asked as he sat back down on his chair while the other two girls sat down as well, with Delancey in front of him and Piper in front of Julian.
"Um, yeah, we share Art class together." Julian nodded slowly, giving Piper a tiny wave who waved back with a smile, trying hard to not blush while Delancey tried to hide her amusement.
