It has been two months since Ashton and Delancey both made it official between them and when Ashton had gone back to his dorm that late afternoon, Julian was already waiting for him with the brightest grin on his face.

"Somebody finally got the girl of his dreams!" he exclaimed in excitement and Ashton tried to put on a neutral face, but he couldn't control the growing smile.

"It's just Delancey."

"Just Delancey? Ash, are you alright, mate? Need I remind you your girlfriend is the principal's daughter AND the head prefect? She can't be "Just Delancey" because you know what? You just broke the record for being the first person she fell in love with and the first boyfriend she has and the first person to be her first kiss. That's crazy, man!"

Ashton nodded, plopping down on his bed and lying down before staring up at the ceiling. "You're right, she isn't "Just Delancey". She's beautiful, smart, polite, caring, sweet, nice, kind, respectful, lo—"

"Okay, dude, I get it. You don't need to list out everything you love about her." Julian interrupted him with a laugh.

He went quiet for a while and when Julian looked over, he noticed a smile on Ashton's lips as he stared at the ceiling.

"Ashton, are you okay? Or do you need me to call Nurse Mikayla to check on your mental health?" he joked.

"Shush, Skinny. Let me just replay everything in my head for a while," the blonde boy snapped.

"Man, you are so in love. Did I tell you how epic it was to watch you two kiss in front of us? Both Piper and I felt like we were watching a movie! I kinda wished we had our first kiss like that." Julian mused, stroking his chin as he continued to look at Ashton to see his best friend's reaction.

When Ashton turned to him to give him a smug smile though, he groaned and turned away.

"Aw, come on, Skinny. You can't be jealous that I'm pretty much living the "main character" life!" Ashton exclaimed, making air quotes on the two words.

He stood up and approached his friend who waved him off.

"Yeah, whatever," Julian paused. "But I'll admit that I'm glad you decided to not leave the academy. You've been my only friend in this school and even if I have Piper, it wouldn't be the same."

Ashton patted the artist boy in the back with a smile. "I'll admit that I had a heavy heart to leave this place anyway… so I'm glad too, buddy." he turned to look at his bags piled at the corner of his side of the room. "And now I gotta unpack like I'm a new student all over again."

Julian laughed at this. "Except you're not because the artistic roommate is your best friend, the scary head prefect is your girlfriend and the strict principal may or may not be your future father-in-law."

They laughed together at this, with Julian not failing to notice the slight tint to Ashton's cheeks.

Meanwhile a few hours later when Delancey had finally finished the meeting, she was tired and exhausted from the day so when she entered her room and tugged off her shoes and threw her bag on the chair at her desk, she breathed a sigh of relief. That's when she realized she was not alone in her bedroom. A blonde girl she knew all too well was sitting on her bed with the biggest grin she had ever seen and she could see the mischievous glint in the girl's eyes.
