Still continuing their flight, Volrik and Arkmaar began to get bored. The Eastern Realms were still a distance away, and it seemed ready to rain shortly. Arky felt his wings begin to grow tired. The gryphons was tempted to touch down and walk a little, even if it wasn't too far of a distance. The first forest area of the East was still a ways away, after all. Once it came to the section with poisonous plants, he would most likely continue his flight at that point.
Volrik looked over at the gryphon and noticed he was beginning to get tired. Nothing really gave it away, it was almost like she could sense it. Not wanting to be outdone, she continued to fly and waited for Arkmaar to land. Of course, this competition wasn't really necessary at all, but as a string fighter, this dragon didn't want to look weak. If she made herself appear to be the weaker one then the gryphon may begin to believe that the rumours about her were false. Being the champion of the dragons, it was often said how she was a powerful warrior. There wasn't a doubt in her mind that the protectors of the relics would allow these two to just steal the ancient pieces without a fight.
Another thing that was sure to occur would be puzzles and challenges requiring strategy and logical or analytical thinking. Volrik wasn't very strong in these field, but Ark, on the other hand, was. As the champion of the gryphons, he was highly intelligent and was rather talented in the field of quick thinking. There was a good chance he was weaker than the dragon though, actually, that would be an accurate assumption.
Although gryphons are quite frequently stereotyped to be strong and brave, it was dragons to whom generally had the greater strength. Not to mention the fire breath among the majority of these creatures (excluding water dragons, according to Volrik's notes) and their dagger-like fangs. Dragons also had a talent to think fast, although this form of quick thinking was mainly consistent of battle strategy.
Arkmaar slowed down his speed and glided down to the ground, landing gracefully on the soft grass. Volrik also began steering her way downwards, although her landing was a little more rough. Ark smirked and looked over at the dragon, "If you're a great fighter I don't think you should be that tired." He murdered under his breath.
Volrik glared at him and pulled her version of the map out of the bag around her shoulder.
"I went down because you did, wise guy. Plus I need to check my map." She sneered in reply and glanced at the map in her claws.
Mothman; Not much is known about this creature besides he is supposedly half moth and half man. Many sightings include a large fuzzy man with the wings of a moth, and yellow glowing eyes.
She paused and moved onto the fuan. Or what she had of it.

It simply ended at that.
