In the distance, dark clouds began to roll in. Arkmaar kept careful watch on these clouds. As a gryphon, it would be rather difficult for him to fly in the rain. He'd been through an experience similar many times. His feathers heavy with water, there would be droplets flying off of his wings in many directions. Thus was sure to not lonely weigh him down rapidly but it was also very likely to announce the long-necked dragon flying next to him. Dragons were lucky in a way. They didn't have to deal with their feather getting wet. They didn't have to deal with feathers. Although they were nice it could get very annoying.
Volrik didn't pay too much attention to the clouds. She knew they were there but couldn't care less about them. Her scales practically were waterproof, the water would just slide off her wings. Although it'd still probably just annoy her a lot. She didn't exactly like the rain. Or humidity in general. It made her feel sticky and weird. It was a feeling familiar with creatures of all kinds, not just to dragons.
Vol didn't want to think of the rain or clouds ahead, so she simply shifted her gaze downwards. The dragon stared at the few plants left of the central realm, then tilted her long of sight slightly upwards. The forest of the Eastern Realm lie just ahead. It seemed to be close, but she knew that it was quite far. Maybe a couple more miles. Either way, she just hoped for a flight the entire way, otherwise things would get difficult. Walking through the forest wasn't easy, well, it was easier by flight.
Arky still let his gaze ahead to the clouds. Still, nothing seemed like a threat but the rain would cause a bit of trouble for them. Navigating the forest would be harder from below rather than above. Plus, there were many poisonous plants, as well as ones with seemingly, a mind of their own. If one of the two were to just poisoned or injured in any way by said plants, this journey would be much more difficult than need be.
There was hope in the minds of both explorers that neither of them would have to be slowed down by anything at all. No one wanted to be on this quest longer than need be.
