Nandini's pov

"He...he..."

"Its fine if you're not comfortable to talk about him I can understand" he said with a smile

"I am comfortable I will tell you...now only"

"No Manik let me. Aaryaman was the bestest friend of me. The only friend. He was like my everything. We both were together from childhood we both met on the orphanage where my parents left me. He told me that I was crying and crying when he came towards me with a chocolate in his hands. He sat besides me and offered me the chocolate. I first looked at him with my puppy's eyes then accepted. He made me understand that everyone there will always love me they will never hurt me I don't have to cry. We went to school together. "He...left me alone to fight with the world. I never thought I will loose him. The day before we were having fun and the next day I got the news that he...he is no more... He...he used the poison and killed himself. I still don't know why, he just left the letter for me with the words:

I still don't know what's the things that I won't be able to bear and sometimes I feel guilty that maybe because of me he died I will I could go back to the time and never let him go home" I was crying. He was continuously patting my back

"Shhh. Maybe that was the reason he didn't tell you because he never wanted you to cry. Nandini there must be so many reasons for him to take this step or else he wouldn't have done this right?" He tried to make me understand

"But he was my best friend he could have share to me right I would listen to him"

"Some people feels like to hide then to reveal" he said and now I looked at him rubbing my tears

"Do you have any hidden secrets?" I asked and he looked at me for a moment

"I have" he said and I was shocked

"What it is?" I asked being curious

"Do you want to know?" He asked and I nodded instantly "Its about Ria" he said

"What about her?" I asked

"She...she is not my daughter" what? Have I listened right?

"What?"

"Yeah. She is not my daughter. Its not a secret I mean everyone knows this in my house expect Ria and You but now I have told you" he said and I was still trying to digest

"You are saying the Truth?" I asked while he nodded

"Yes I am telling you the truth. And I am glad I will have the first baby with you" he said while I blushed

"Then who is Ria?" I asked

"She is my elder brother's daughter. She was just 7 when they passed away in a plane crash. After that I took care of her. Then I married to Jenny and she also starts taking care of her"

"That is why she calls you by your names?" I asked and he nodded

"What about you and jenny? Why don't you have a child?" I asked,there are so many questions

"Because she never wanted to have one...I guess with me" he said

"Isn't it good" I said to lighten up his mood and he smiled looking at me

"Very" he said

"Manik" I said

"Yes Student"

"What is Ria's age?"

"18" he replied And I nodded

"Then why her height is small I mean she looks like 10 years old" I again asked

"Because of her illness" He said "Now If your Questions session is off let's have some food

He was sitting on couch while I was on his lap as he was teaching me maths. And believe me this was so much fun. The knock on the door bring me out of my land and I get up to see who is there.

I opened the door to see Ria with Dadi. Ok so now I have to pretend I don't know any of them. Also I saw Mukti and Mom behind

"Good afternoon Nandini." Mukti said

"Good Afternoon. Do I know you?" I asked while they looked at each other

"No actually we are Manik's family. After we listen about your incident we thought to meet you" dadi said

"Oh I am so sorry, please come" I said moving aside

"It ok dear. By the way how are you feeling now?" Mom asked

"Better Aunty, please sit" I said

"Mom what are you all doing here?" Manik asked

"We thought to visit and ask her well being" mom said while they all settled

"I just come" I said and left towards the kitchen

After of almost 3 minutes Ria entered the kitchen

"Do you need anything little cutie?" I asked

"I am not a little cutie. I am 18 years old" she said

"Oh I am so sorry I didn't knew" I said

"Its ok. Can I ask You something?" She asked

"Yes sure"

"Was Manu here last night?" She asked

"Who Manu?"

"I mean Manik, your professor"

"No why will he be here? He left on his time" I lied

"Oh I thought I am sorry"

"It's ok. By the way are you her small sister?" I asked

"No I am his daughter" she said with a sheepish smile

"Aww... He has the cutest baby girl" I said pulling her cheeks

"Thanks"

She was acting nicely maybe because she thinks I lost my memory

"By the way you are also nice" she said making me shock

"Oh really, then will you like to stay here with me a little more?" I asked while she thinks for a moment

"Sure why not" she said and I smiled
