Chapter 2

I got off the phone with my mom and got looking at the packet of information closer and I groaned.

*****FLASHBACK, 1998*****

"Chris, we really need to think about college, its second half of junior year and we are supposed to have applications sent out by senior year few weeks in." I said as we sat on my couch after Ryan, Tara and Ash all went home. Chris wanted to hang out a little longer, since we were dating now. Chris and I got together the summer between sophomore and junior year. We knew we hated each other when I first arrived but things changed over the summer when we were forced to hang out when everyone else went on vacations.

"I don't know why you are so worried about it Pais, you are going to get in wherever you apply." Chris said and I groaned.
"It's not about where I get in Chris, it's about what is going on in my life depending on where I want to go." I said and looked at Chris who didn't get it and first, then he looked at me.

"Oh you mean....what's going on with us." Chris said and I groaned and got up from the couch.

"Wow genius, took you long enough." I said and Chris sighed following me into the kitchen.

"How do you even know we will be together next year?" Chris asked and I looked at him pissed off.

"Really? You looking to break up Evans?" I asked sitting on my counter after getting a bottle of water for both of us and Chris grabbed a bag of chips. He came to stand between my legs and placed his hands on my thighs.

"No way, I just don't want you to base you choices on me." Chris said and I placed my hands on his hips and pulled him closer to me. He leaned his lips closer to mine and brushed them against mine.

"You and I will make the choices best for us, I promise." Chris said and gently kissed me. Once we broke apart I smiled at him as his lips crashed down on mine and moaned in his kiss.

I wiped the stray tear from my cheek thinking of good times with Chris, the few there were in that year. I heard the front door open and I looked to see Damian come walking in the front door and I smile when he saw me.

"Hey, you said you wouldn't be able to make it tonight." I said and he smiled leaning down to kiss me then pulling a dozen roses out from behind his back and I smile.

"What are these for?" I asked and he shook his head and I sighed knowing.

"You have to go out of town again don't you?" I asked and he sighed.

"Reason as to coming by tonight. I leave in the morning for a week." Damian said and I sighed.

"But we had plans with my parents tomorrow." I said and he sighed.

"I know but I brought my suitcase and I figured I could stay tonight and then leave in the morning." Damian said and I sighed.

"Where are they sending you now?" I asked.

"Some new resort in Hawaii." Damian said and I rolled my eyes and got up setting the paperwork from the college down and went to put the roses in water.

"Who is going to University of Massachusetts?" Damian asked and I looked at him annoyed as he followed me.

"Who would it be Damian? Not me." I said and he sighed.

"I know it was for Logan I was just saying I didn't think he was even looking East Coast." Damian said.

"I didn't think so either but now it's all he wants to see." I said and Damian wrapped his arms around my waist as I placed the flowers in a vase.
