Chris, Logan and I sat in front of the webcam Megan had set up for us to make our statement as a family about Logan. I was wringing my hands and playing with my promise ring.
"Hey...it's okay." Chris said and I sighed.
"I still think this should just be you. We can post pictures of all of us but you should make this announcement alone." I said and Megan looked at me.
"She is getting cold feet now?" Megan asked annoyed.
"Megan stop." Chris said and looked at moving to sit in front of me on the coffee table. He cupped my face making me look at him.
"Hey, everything is going to be okay, I wont let anything happen to either of you. Remember the promise I made when I gave you this ring?" Chris asked removing his hands from my face and grabbing my right hand and I nodded.
"Okay well here's the thing..." Chris said and pulled a box out of his pocket.
"I have another promise I want to make to you. I want to promise that I will always love you, always take care of you, always be there for you and be your everything. I messed up years ago and I never want to mess up with you again. We have already started to process of getting Logan's last name changed to Evans and I want to do the same with you." Chris said and opened the ring box and I saw a diamond solitaire oval shaped diamond ring.
"Chris..." I said and I pulled him into a passionate kiss.
"Can you answer the man?" Logan asked as I kissed Chris and I laughed when we broke apart.
"I thought that was my answer." I said and Chris laughed and took the ring from the box and placed it on my finger.
"You guys ready?" Megan asked and I smiled at Chris and Logan.
"I am now." I said and Chris smiled and took his seat next to Logan who was in the middle of Chris and I on his couch.
"Okay whenever you are ready." Megan said. We all smiled as Chris nodded and she hit the record button.
"Hey guys! Chris here. Um, this video message is a little different from what I am used to posting. I know there has been some news out there and a lot of rumors so I am here to set the record straight. This young man here next to me is Logan Daniels-Evans, my son. The lady next to him is my high school girlfriend, now fiancé Paisley Daniels. Paisley and I dated in high school and then split up to go our separate ways once we graduated not knowing that Logan would be making his grand appearance later. Now he was kept from the public eye for a long time and I will forever be grateful to Paisley for doing that but we are tired of everyone not knowing and trying to figure it out on their own. I couldn't be happier right now to be a dad and I am so excited to see what the future brings with this young man and starting to finally be a family. Thank you guys for being so supportive and please understand while we go through all of this we would like our privacy at this time." Chris said and I smiled at him and he smiled back.
"Love you guys." Chris said and then stopped the camera. Megan was nodding her approval.
"I think it's great. Let's post it to all social media sites for him." Megan said and people started working.
"Want to get something to drink?" Chris asked me and I nodded as we walked into the kitchen. As we walked in I saw my parents sitting there.
"YOU GUYS ARE HERE!" I screamed and ran and hugged my mom and dad.
"Well it is big announcement day and engagement day." Jimmy said and I smiled. Logan came in and hugged my parents.
"Finally time to start planning a wedding." Donna said excited and I looked at my mom.
