The next day was the visit to the school and a visit with Logan's student advisor. We were walking around campus and Logan was really enjoying what he was seeing and I smiled.
*****FLASHBACK, January of 1999*****
"What do you two think?" Lisa asked Chris and I as we walked in and hand through campus. I smiled at him.
"It seems nice." Chris said and I nodded.
"If we choose to stay here." I said and Donna groaned.
"You really don't want to stay?" Donna asked and I shrugged.
"I don't know mom, I mean I didn't just hear from here. I heard back from Seattle and New York." I said and Chris looked at me shocked.
"Seattle? You didn't tell me you applied to Seattle." Chris said and I shrugged.
"I didn't think I would get in. I haven't decided anything yet Chris, don't worry. We will make this choice together." I said and he smiled and gave me a small kiss.
"I do really like this campus." I said and Chris smiled pulling me away from our parents for a minute and they understood and let us go.
"You know what I am looking forward to?" Chris asked and I smiled.
"What would that be?" I asked and he pulled me close to him and I wrapped my arms around his neck.
"I look forward to you and me having our place, wherever we end up. Just you and me together, in our own place, getting a start on that future of ours." Chris said and I smiled as I gently pulled him down to me and passionately kissed him. Once we broke apart he pulled something from his pocket and I looked at him confused. He opened the ring box and it was a small ring with his birthstone and mine.
"I promise to you that I will always love you, only want you and to marry you someday and make you my amazing wife." Chris said and I smiled and passionately kissed him again.
"I accept." I said and he placed the ring on my ring finger.
"It's always going to be you Pais." Chris said and I nodded.
"Always you for me too Christopher Robin." I said and he kissed me shaking his head slightly.
*****END FLASHBACK*****
"Mom, it's time to go meet the student advisor." Logan said and I nodded as we headed inside the building and he knocked on the closed door.
"Come in." We heard the voice say and Logan walked in first.
"Mrs. Morris, I'm Logan Daniels. We had an appointment." Logan said.
"Oh yes, come in Logan." She said and he walked in and I walked in after him shutting the door.
"This is my mom Pai...-" Logan started to say.
"Paisley Daniels?!" She said and I felt my stomach drop as I was looking at Ash.
"Ash?!" I asked in shock and she rushed around her desk and hugged me and I accepted it smiling.
"Oh my god you look amazing! It's been how long...17 years." Ash said and then looked at Logan and back at me.
"Yeah...about." I said and she smiled.
"This is the last place I thought I would ever see you, back in Boston." She said and I smiled sitting down across from her.
"He was drawn to Boston." I said and pointed to Logan.
"How old are you Logan?" Ash asked and I glared at her knowing what she was thinking.
"Turned 16 in March." Logan said and I sighed as she looked at me and I shook my head. She dropped it and went about talking to Logan about everything with the school and classes. After they were done talking I looked at Logan.
"Can you wait in the hallway please?" I asked and he nodded, shook Ash's hand and left. He closed the door behind him.
"Okay are we going to address all the elephants in the room or do you want to continue to ignore them." Ash said and I shrugged.
"I have no clue what you are talking about." I said and she groaned.
"Logan! The timeline matches up to you being with Chris." Ash said and I shook my head.
"The timeline matches up to me meeting a guy the minute I got to Seattle and hooking up." I said.
"Bullshit Paisley! He looks like Chris did at 16 and his middle name is Christopher!" She said and I groaned.
"Ash please just stop. Don't pull on this thread." I said and she groaned.
"You know he is in town right?" Ash said and I groaned.
"Yes everyone seems very happy to share this nugget of information with me." I said and Ash looked confused.
"What are you talking about?" Ash asked.
"I saw Lisa yesterday and she told me as well." I said and Ash huffed a laugh.
"Oh so Lisa has seen him. She question about his father?" Ash asked and I groaned.
"She didn't see him, he was in the restaurant we were eating at when I saw her. Listen, this isn't anything that anyone here needs to worry about. Chris and I broke up and I went to college in Seattle, had a hook up, got pregnant and had Logan." I explained. Ash just shook her head and didn't believe me.
"Does Tara know you are in town?" Ash asked and I shook my head.
"I hadn't planned on telling any of you! I wanted to bring him here and go home." I said.
"Wow, the people that took you in when you showed up, that you just pushed to the curb when you left. You gave us letters Paisley! You couldn't even tell us to our faces." Ash said and I groaned.
"Because you would have made me stay and I didn't want to. I wanted to go back to Seattle. I never belonged here and you all needed to see that." I explained and Ash just shook her head still not believing a word I was saying."Listen, let me call Tara and Ryan. I want to have dinner with you tomorrow, she will want to see you and meet Logan. Let me plan dinner and we will all get together." Ash said and I groaned.
"Do not invite him Ash." I said and she groaned.
"Why? He was part of the group." Ash said and I shook my head.
"I don't want to see him and I have kept him out of my life this long. Logan doesn't know we were friends." I said and she laughed.
"Friends....friends? That's all you were?" Ash asked sarcastically.
"Shut up." I said rolling my eyes.
"Dinner tomorrow. Me, my husband, Tara, Ryan, you and Logan." Ash said and I groaned.
"Fine. Give me your phone I will give you my number." I said and she gasped in shock.
"Contact info for the disappearing Paisley Daniels, I am shocked." Ash said.
"Seriously, were you this annoying in high school?" I asked and we laughed as I put my number in her phone and sent myself a text so I had her number.
"Yeah, you were just too busy sucking face with Chris to notice." Ash said. I shook my head and headed towards the door.
"Let me know about tomorrow." I said and walked out. I closed the door and looked at Logan.
"Friend of yours?" Logan asked sarcastically with a smirk, the smirk I hated, his father's smirk.
"Yes and we are having dinner with her and a couple other friends tomorrow." I said and Logan smiled.
"Finally I get to learn about you at my age." Logan said and I groaned.
"Yeah, that's what I'm afraid of." I said with a smile and we left the offices.
