Luci looked in the mirror, scrutinizing herself. She and Luke were going out on a date. And it was fancy. Fancy. Luci didn't do fancy very well. She stood there glaring at her closet before texting her friends.
About ten minutes later they were all there. Elise pushed Luci towards the shower. "Shampoo, condition, shave and just do whatever shit you do in the shower. Just don't take a shit in the shower, k?" Luci looked at Elise before shrugging. She stepped into the shower, and when got out her friends were waiting for her. Luci involuntarily took a step back at their smirks.
The girls quickly got to work. Luci grimaced as they pulled at her hair. She tried pulling away from Elise's deadly makeup brushes. (She really wasn't interested in losing an eye.) When they finally finished, they stood there staring at her, admiring their handy work.
"So... Am I allowed to look or?" They tugged Luci in front of the mirror. Luci's eyes widened. "Woah."
They had put Luci in a dark emerald green dress that was just above the knee. It had black material underneath the fluffed it out slightly. The same material came out from the top and went over her right shoulder.
Her hair was in a french-fishtail braid over her left shoulder. The few loose hairs that had fallen out were curled, framing her face.
Her makeup was simple. Her eyes had been tight lined with black on the top lid and white on the bottom. Mascara was layered lightly on her eyelashes. A shimmery eyeshadow had been applied to her eyelids, and her lips had been painted a soft pink.
A knock sounded at the door. "I'll get that." Meg and Jasmine offered at the same time. They opened the door and Luci could hear them playing father. "Being one who's status is of one like mine I must inquire, what are your intentions with Luci?" Meg asked. "I wouldn't dream of hurting her." Luke responded and Luci blushed slightly. Jasmine and Meg continued to interrogate him while Elise squealed. Luci looked over her. "You okay there?" Elise sighed. "You guys are cute and you aren't even in the same room." Luci shook her head at her friend. Elise shoved a small handbag and a coat in her arms and pushed her out the door.
"Go save your boyfriends from your 'parents'." "He's not my b-" Elise waved her off. "Whatever."
Luci walked to where Luke was. He looked over at her, his blue eyes dilating. "You look beautiful." Luci tilted her head slightly. "Thank you."
He held his arm out to her. "Shall we?" He paused and looked over at Luci's friends. "If that's okay with you three of course." "Just leave already!" Jasmine joked.

"This is amazing." Luci exclaimed. They had gone to a fancy restaurant at edge of town. "I was hoping you'd like it." Luke said nervously, biting his lip.
They ordered their food. They ate and joked and teased each other the whole time. Luci leaned against him as they walked out of the restaurant. Luke responded by wrapping his arm around her waist.
As they neared Luci's house she began to thank them. She stopped when they went by her apartment building. "What are we doing?" Luci asked Luke, panic obvious.
He glanced over at her and reached across the console to lace their hands together. "I just didn't want this to end." A blush crawled up his neck. Luci smiled and squeezed his hand gently. They drove out on a gravel road. Luke pulled over, and got out of the car. He turned to her, half smiling. "Coming?" Luke pulled Luci onto the hood of the car. He smiled before inclining his head slightly upwards. "The stars." Luci looked at him, raising her eyebrows slightly. "I never knew you to be so cliche Hemmings." He looked up laughing.
"I could show you how could I am at being cliche." Luci laughed. "Alright, let's tell pick up lines."
They spent the rest of their evening trading terrible pickup lines.
"If you were a fruit you'd be a fine-apple."
"Well if you were a vegetable you'd be a cute-cumber."
"If you were a booger I'd pick you first."
"Are you a parking ticket? Cause you've got fine written all over you."
"My shirt is made of boyfriends material."
"I think you're missing some vitamin-me."
"Can I have directions?"
"Where?"
"To your heart."
"I could have sworn we had a class together because we definetly had chemistry."
"Forget batman, superman, and spiderman. I'll be your man."
"Do you have an extra heart? Mine was stolen."
"I've never been an organ donor, but I'd be happy to give you my heart."
"I must be a snowflake because I've fallen for you."
"Are you lost? Heaven is a long way from here."
"When I first saw you I looked for a signature because every masterpiece has one."
"Did you fart? Because you just blew me away."
"I think there is something wrong with my eyes because I just can't seem to take them off of you."
"Do you believe in love at first sight or should I walk by again?"
"Can I borrow a kiss? I promise I'll give it back."
"Do you have a pencil? Because I'd like to erase your past and write our future."
"Are you a cat? Because you are purrrr-fect."
"I must have missed the rainbow, but I found the treasure."
"You got a jersey? Because I need your name and number."
"Do I know you? Cause you look like my next girlfriend."
"Okay."
"Wait, seriously?!"
Luci giggled. "Yes Luke, I'll be your girlfriend." Luke grinned. "Well because I'm such a good boyfriends, and your lips look so lonely..."
