My last party

As my parents left the doorway,

"Remember Cammie," my mom said sternly, "no more parties while I'm gone with your father." I could tell she was trying to be intimidating, but she was around 5'4" and I had a good two inches on her. On top of that, she had to look up at me when she spoke. I rarely took my parents seriously, but my mother was rarely mean or tough on me or my brothers, so when she was stern, I definitely listened(At least most of the time).

My little brother Charlie was supposed to go to his friends house for his first sleepover, but I was supposed to make sure that he was all good so my parents didn't have to pick him up. Honestly, they were just so lazy. My older brother was hanging out with his girlfriend upstairs. To say in the nicest way possible, I Really didn't like her.

I walked across the hallway to my room and began playing "Shut up and Dance" by Walk the Moon. I brushed my honey blonde hair into a braid. After that, I put some makeup on.

As I added hot pink lipstick, I frizzed up my hair and walked to my room. I picked out a tight pink dress with sparkles. I looked out the window and my parents car was still their so I walked downstairs, and put on some Spongebob Square-Pants(One of my favorites!). As I settled in, my dad walked through the doorway.

"What are you doing!" he asked accusingly, looking at me with a pointed finger. I rolled my eyes.

"Watching Spongebob." I said without even looking at him.

"Why do you have so much make-up on?" he questioned. "Really, do you doubt me that much?" I asked my oh-so-sweet father; feigning hurt.

A few hours later

I looked around the house and saw a kaleidoscope of colors; anything and everything was located on the floor.

"What happened...?" I voiced out loud, confusion etched into my words.

"That's what we were wondering too." my parents said.

"You promised us no parties Cammie," my dad said in a very stern, disappointed voice. My eyes slowly focused on a smudge on the ground.

"I know," I said quietly. I trudged up the stairs wondering what my punishment would be this time.

I woke up with the party etched into my head. I walked downstairs to find my parents drinking coffee and talking in hushed voices.

"I already called and asked. It's all settled honey." I overheard a bit of what my mom was saying.

"What's all settled, mom?" I asked her.

"Sweetie, your going to your aunts for a while." she told me cautiously as if I was a ticking time-bomb about to explode.

"Why," I asked her.

"Your behavior has been unacceptable lately," my dad cut in rudely.

"So, to see if your behavior is due to your environment, your going to live with your aunt for a while." My mother stated. Oh, my mother was always one to put things politely. My brother James walked in and saw me. He smirked and said, "What happened?"

He was doused with fake innocence. My brother was the definition of perfect to my parents; straight A's, captain of football team, a perfect girlfriend, he had it all. Not to mention he even had the looks! That's not even the worst part; he's younger than me. I've gone my whole life always hearing about how "You should be more like James" or "James did excellent on that assignment" and I am sick and tired of it.
