Little Girl Lost

Chapter 1: It's Between Me & You

I sat on my bed wide awoke thinking to myself that I couldn't believe what had just happened. My mommy said she was coming right back. What took her so long? Why did she leave me? These questions stayed inside my head and I didn't want to see this man ever again. Why did she send him over?. I kept questioning myself until I heard the front door slam. Scared that it might be him again I leaped up and hid under the covers. Sitting there shivering in fear my door started to slowly open and I felt myself getting smaller and smaller. I sat under my covers shaking and crying and then I felt the covers slowly being lifted off of me. 

"Raven why the hell are you still up?". My mommy said looking at my bloody blankets. "Did you get your period already?" She questioned me examining them.

I just sat there looking up at her with my big brown eyes.

"Come here baby." She said. "Let me clean you up". She picked me up and took me into the bathroom.

I sat in the bath tub shivering from the cold air in the house and couldn't help but look like I just seen a ghost

"Raven you look like you just seen a ghost, what's the matter baby?" She said while turing on the water and began to wash my back.

"N-nothing" I studdered.

"I know getting your period is going to be a big change in your life, but you don't have to look like that". She said continuing to wash me up.

"Oh, did Raymond come by to check on you? I sent him over earlier.

"Y-yes" I replied looking at the soapy bathwater 

"Ok good. I'm so sorry baby for leaving you here for so long. I ended up doing something I didn't know that was going to take that long".

"Mommy I was scared" I looked up at her

"Scared of what?"

I looked down

"Look baby everything is okay now. I promise you it will never happen again okay?"

I still looked down and started staring at a broken tile on the floor

"Raven". My mommy grabbed my face softly to make sure that I was looking at her.

"You hear me?"

"Y-yes mommy"

"Okay good sweetheart". She replied turning off the water and grabbing a towel wrapping it around me.

"Now look I need to discuss some things with you". Mommy implied kneeling down to me

"Mommy has a new boyfriend now, so things are going to be quite different".

I didn't say anything. I stared up at her with my innocent eyes wiping the water from my face. 

"Well aren't you going to say anything?"

"Mommy I'm just really tired" 

"I understand sweety. Come on I'll take you to bed".

She picked me up and carried me to my room. She always treated me like a little princess. Just why couldn't she save me? 

"Here put these on" She handed me some fresh jammies.

I began to put them on as she changed my bed sheets

She sat me on the bed and started to braid my hair.

"You have hair just like your grandma Haley" She lightly laughed 

"I remember when she use to do this to me every night." Mommy carried on.

As she finished doing my hair she looked at me.

"Man I love those big round eyes. You had them since the day you were born. I always looked into them and knew that you were my special little girl"

I continued to look at her tempted to say something, but I didn't

"Come on baby time for bed" She patted my back softly

I layed down in my now broken bed closing my eyes as mommy started to sing me a song. Every time mommy sung me a song I could easily go to sleep. 

"Good-Night my love" She whisperd softly in my ear

I fell asleep fast

As I began to fall asleep I heard voices talking in the distant and other than my mommy's voice the other voice sounded familiar. 

I can always hear things while I'm sleep, but when it's not quite in the house it makes it harder for me to stay asleep.

Foot steps started to approach my door. My door opened and I pretended that I was not listening in case mommy was trying to check on me. I felt a kiss on my forehead and it didn't feel like mommy's lips. I opened my eyes and looked up.

"Ahh!" I screamed.

The person quickly covered my mouth

"Shh..baby girl it's just me". Raymond whispered

"Don't touch me" I blurted

"It's okay. I'm not going to hurt you. I just came in here to check up on you." He explained getting closer to me.

"Remember what I said earlier. What happened was between me and you. No one else needs to know. I promise you I will make it up to you okay?. I didn't mean to hurt you."

I didn't know what to say because I was confused. I layed in my bed wishing that this was all a bad dream and I was going to wake up from it soon.

"See you in the morning beautiful". He said speaking in a soft tone then kissing me on my forehead again and leaving my room.

I layed in my bed looking up at the wall. Maybe this will all go away. This isn't real I kept telling myself. This isn't real.
