i woke up on the couch since my bed hadn't been taken out the van yet. my things were still in the moving boxes so i had to unpack them before i could do anything else. once i had brought everything to my room, my mum said the mover guy was coming to place my bed into my room. i had unpacked all my clothes into my closet so the floor was clear. once it was built and my mattress was on, i put on the bed sheets and lay down for a bit and ended up falling asleep.

i woke up the next morning. it was a thursday and i started school the week following this week. i wasn't really excited because i was worried on what people would think of me. i brushed my teeth and got in the shower. once i finished washing my hair and grabbed my towel. after i finished getting changed, i put on some mascara and lil gloss and went downstairs.

"hey y/n, i met a girl who lives very close to your grandma. we have made plans to go out tonight but her little boy needs babysitting. it's $5 an hour, you up for it?" my mum asked me as i opened the fridge. "yeah sure, what time and where?" i asked her and i grabbed the yogurt out of the fridge and placed it on the counter. "it's at 7pm tonight, jess has 4 kids, jayla who is 17, javon and jaden who are 15 and daelo who you're going to be babysitting who is 7. i will drop you off when i go to pick jess up. their dad isn't here because he's going to visit his parents for the week. i walked upstairs to my room.

i sat on my bed watching tiktok to pass the time. it was 6:42pm when i was about to leave. "come on y/n we're going to be late!" my mum shouted up at me. i ran downstairs putting my dunks on and running through the front door.
