Chapter 8

Chapter 8- The Pack

I told Damen that I wanted to know everything about us wolves and all the secrets to the pack.

He told me to meet him at a little cove near the beach.

I took my car and drove there. As I reared up to the entrance, I saw my black wolf. My wolf barked with happiness and my heart hammered at the sight of him. That sexy beast has got something special on me.

-Hey,love- he greeted

"Hey, Damen"

He left me but shortly came back in his human form. I laid out a blanket across the sand and soaked up some sun.

He laid next to me and pulled me on top of him. Once again my heart was pounding. I felt disappointed when he sat up and moved me to the side.

"So, what's first?"

"How did you become a Alpha so young?" I asked

"Well, I was the Alpha's son and I was the next in line. When I was 17 my father was sick with a deadly sickness. This sickness is probably the only sickness that can kill a wolf and what happens is that you get this fire inside of you and it slowly kills your wolf. Having your wolf killed is," he shivers," like having your other side ripped away. He became so depressed and couldn't be the Alpha since he was no longer considered a wolf, he took his... Life"

I could see the pain on his eyes and was filled with a desperate feeling to get the pain out. I hooked my arms around his neck and hugged him.

"I became the Alpha and had my teenager years taken away. I could no longer be fun and loose Damen, I had become serious, straight faced Alpha of our pack."

"Thank you for sharing" I smiled weakly

"Well, what's next"

I played with his necklace and my necklace question popped up.

"Why, the night I saw you, did your necklace glow?" I asked

"well, every Alpha gets a necklace, you see for Alpha it is very hard to find your mate. It is also very different, for an average wolf when he or she turns 18 they find thier mate. What happens is when they see thier mate they get this warm feeling and then thier wolf knows. But for Alphas, we have to where this necklace that when you find your mate it glows a blood red and you and your mate are filled with this burning that goes away when your near eachother. That's why when you saw me you got hot and then walked into the woods."

''Okay''

"so.. tell me about your brother" I asked not really sure that I wanted the answer.

" well, I have two of them and when they found out that I was the Alpha they ran away to become the Alpha of another pack"

"My brother Ren was always nice to me and we are still very close, but my brother Cameron was very envious of me and hated me. A  7 years ago I was still new to the Alpha stuff and his mate got drunk and threatened to kill a pregnant mother in my pack. As the Alpha I had no other voice but to sentence her to death. I didn't know that she was his mate but I still killed her. Cameron was furious and vowed to make me pay. Now, it looks like he came to kill me until you showed up."

"I'm so sorry that this happened" I looked down sad.

"It's not you fault, babe" he stroked my hair.

"Is their anything else?"

"Well, I'm curious for why everyone was surprised that I was bitten"

"Oh",he scratched his head nervously,"well... It's been a really long time since someone had been bitten, there was many rumors of a Alpha that once did it but I honestly didn't know if you would make it. Wolves have this venom that changes others but only the the rarest wolves have it and I happened to have some"

"Everyone in the pack has been born a wolf, so they where really surprised to hear this"

"So, about the Alpha Female thing..." I stated

"Um, you've been doing a great job with befriending everyone and your wolf has completely taking responsibility" he smiles

It's the little things that I noticed that is probably why I falling so hard for him. His smile. His laugh. How he acts like a shy boy around me. His ripped body. How he scratches the back of his head when nervous. And even how he runs his hand through his hair when frustrated.



It's all these things that counts and makes him so special. And I'm sure that even of we didn't have this special mate bond that I could still easily fall in love with him.

I stand up and help him up.

I came close and lightly kissed him. And what started as a light brush of our lips became a much more passionate kiss that had me wanting more. He pushed our bodies closer to each other, leaving no space. I hungrily bit his bottom lip and he lightly pulled my hair, deepening the kiss.

I put my hands on his chest and moved my hands over his abs. He ran his hands over my arms and I held back a moan.

He pulled away to breath and I was filled with sadness because it ended all too quickly. He was thinking the same for there was lust in his eyes. We walked back to my car hand in hand and he kept giving a goofy smirk.

"What is it?" I asked

He looked amused as he answered.

"You liked it" he poked my side

"Liked what?" I asked

"The kiss, it was all over your face. You want me" he smirked

"Well, look who's cocky?" I teased

That only made him smile wider.

"Listen my love-struck puppy, it's not only me."

I say with a grin and continue.

"Mr. Lust eyes, I know you want me too" my grin widens

He blushes a deep red and I chuckle quietly.

"Right, Mr. Lust eyes my a-"

"I CAN HEAR YOU!" I laugh

"Whoops" he grins

"You are too funny" I say

We climbed into the car and drove away.
