Chapter 1- bitten

I swayed to the blazing music of the club as I felt drunk by the heat of people.

I heard someone shouting my name.

"Summer, Summer!" They shouted

It was a familiar voice...Oh! It was my best friend, Victoria. I looked around for a glimpse of her face between the mess of people when my eyes landed on a beautiful face.

His eyes where a liquid gold that shined in the darkened club. His hair was a dark black. He was wearing all black except for a glowing, reddish necklace that had a wolf carved out of wood.

Looking at him set a warm wave over me. The heat of this place was overwhelming. Victoria was still calling my name.

I took a step toward the mysterious boy as my friend tugged on my shoulders making me turn around.

"What?" I shouted regretting my harsh tone.

"Do you wanted a drink?" She was so drunk. She was very depressed for her boyfriend dumped her after dating for two years. She was just letting go of everything by numbing her senses with liquor.

"No thanks, I have to drive you back sober" plus, I didn't like to drink.

The heat in this place was uncomfortable. I turned around to see my mysterious boy to see he left. How long was our conversation? Like two minutes long? Then I had a strong feeling to try and find him.

The heat was getting unbearable and I needed to escape. I pushed and shoved people out of my way as I headed towards the back exit. I felt bad for leaving Victoria but I had to get out of here.

I stepped outside and felt a lovely breeze that skimmed my skin. The heat was gone and just as soon it was back but now I felt a sudden feeling to head for the forest behind the club.

I didn't know what happened but the farther I went towards the woods the more my heat would disappear.

It was dark and I couldn't see much. What was I stepping in? My body cooled off a bit as I kept walking. I finally escaped the mass of people that crowded the club. The trail I went through wasn't easy. My mini golden dress and high black heels weren't helping. The heat was gone as if it was never there and I got a bone-chilling breeze. It was freezing and my heart was bounding wildly as I realized that I was in the woods by myself. I was surprised that I wasn't crapping my dress as I looked around for an exit.

I have been walking for at least 30 minutes and was deep in the trees. I heard a distant howl and I froze. The hair on the back of my neck was standing up. Something was watching me. I felt like those stupid gurls in those horror movies that had to be stupid enough to go in the woods by HERSELF! Just to get raped then killed.

I was so scared and my heart felt as if it would jump out of my chest. I heard light footsteps. And whipped around. But only saw darkness. What was out there? An animal? A person?

"Who's there?" I shouted at darkness

"I'm not afraid!" I yelled surprising myself with the confidence in my voice.

And as if answering my first question I saw a pair of big liquid gold eyes. Too big for a humans and then the animal stepped into the faint light of this night's full moon. Then I looked at the size and shape of it. A wolf! There was a huge fricken black wolf in front of me!

It was definitely male for the size of it. He held his head high as if telling me that he was bigger than me as if I couldn't already see that! Then it lunged for me and pinned me by my shoulders. His big heavy paws were enough weight to hold me down. I was about to scream when I looked into his huge eyes as they reflected a scared girl with blue eyes and jet-black hair. My scream was suddenly stuck in my throat.

He lowered his big furry head and sticked his cold and wet nose in my face. He inhaled deeply as if smelling his prey's scent. What was he doing? He got off me but kept a close eye on me. He bared his teeth at me as I tried to sit up. Why hasn't he killed me yet?

Before he let me wonder to much he lunged at my body and I felt a sharp pain in my side. I somehow stayed silent as he sunk his teeth into my flesh. My eyesight got blurry as I started to lose blood. I was going under. I laid down but mostly just collapsed onto the ground. He let go of me and laid beside me. I turned my head and looked into his eyes.

His eyes looked concerned and sorry. What was he sorry for? He stayed next to me as my eyelids began to drop. Was this how I was going to die? And I didn't even find my mysterious boy I closed my eyes with the picture of my wolf beside me.
