Chapter 4

Chapter 4- DREAM

Today was the day! I was turning into a wolf! I could feel my wolf pushing out slowly as each hour passed. Damen said that the first shift would hurt like hell and would be a slower process but then it would be really easy and swift. We also had to babysit Emily which meant that I could not be close to her because I might shift and stuff.

So after work I told my parents that I was going out and would be back late. With my wolf reflexes and strength I hopped into my car and speeded towards the forest.

I took out my phone and texted our mate.

*On my way*

*Dont rush* he texted back

*I'll be there in a bit,okay?*

*That's Okay*

I got to a private space and parked the car. There was no way my big old heap of metal was going through the woods. I sprinted through the trees feeling light and free. My wolf was pushing out more and I felt a sharp pain in my abdomen. I dropped down to the ground and hunched over. I screamed with the pain in my body. I was shifting!

I didn't have my phone with me so I tried my mind link.

-Damen?-

-yes?- he asked his voice coated with fright? FRIGHT?

-I think I'm shi- I cut myself off with a painful scream. My  frame started to shake furiously as I screamed in pain. My body felt like it was on fire as I felt my wolf push out of my body.

My skin split and were there would be skin,there was a thick fur coat. My hands turned into massive paws and my bones twisted and formed into my wolf frame. I had a fluffy tail and firm coat.

I whimpered in pain as my skin split and a sharp pair of claws grew out. The claws were very painful.

-Summer?- called Damen

-yeah?- I panted completely pooped about my new experience. I fell onto the floor and felt a little dizzy.

-You might feel a little woozy and you'll fall asleep-

I heard him but wasn't listening. My eye lids dropped low as I fell into a deep sleep.

[DREAM]

I was running through the forest with a black wolf beside me. He had sparkling golden eyes that were wonderful. Golden Eyes? Oh, Damen my mate.

I pushed off my strong hind legs as I felt that I could run forever into this lovely sunlight and never get tired. We stopped at a breathtaking waterfall and I jumped in. My body cooled off as I pushed on the water with my back legs and doggy padded through the water with my front paws.

I climbed out of the little pond and was not effected at all at the water clinging to my fur. I shook like a huge crazy dog and got a chuckle from behind me. I turned around to find Damien in human form all wet with a smile that stretched from ear to ear. Damen looked so happy as he laughed and lunged at me, and playfully lifted my wolf form off the ground as if I weighed nothing. He tucked me close to his chest as I inhaled his lovely scent. My sharper senses caught the scent all over my fur.

He put me back down and I walked to the edge of the water. I drank a bit then looked at my reflexion. I saw a normal size wolf with bright blue eyes and a pure white coat. I looked at myself with amazement. I was a WHITE wolf. Damen told me that there were very few left and that we had no one in our pack who had white fur.

Damen shifted back into a wolf and he showed me how to hunt. I didn't realize that I was hungry until he mentioned it.

I stalked my prey from behind a bush. I creeped up to my juicy deer and on silent paws let my wolf take over. We lunged at our prey and easily snapped his neck. I could taste the blood and wanted to vomit and then saw Damen having no problem as he dug into our meal. I let my instincts take over completely and I ate the deer viciously. I felt full and I licked Damen's cheek.

He licked the blood off my muzzle and I did the same for him. I them jumped away and playfully nipped at his ear. I ran through the woods and let out a joyous howl. Damen running after me was not quite as fast but made a howl of his own and I quickly realized how beautiful our voices sounded together.

We sang about love and our soul. I let my wolf take over as a feeling that started at the pit of my stomach grew and it rose to my throat.I howled my passionate song that told all about my story. The ups and downs. And the most important part was how I felt when I found my mate.

I wanted this moment to last forever and I fell on the soft grass. I laid on my back and waited for Damen to catch up. I yelped in surprise when he came out of no where and pinned me. He gave me a very big wolfy grin that made him look like a drunk wolf. He affectionally rubbed his face against mine as I saw him disappear from the Alpha to that 23 year old boy.

With sudden force I flipped him over and was now the one pinning him. I hopped off and laid on the floor right next to him. His face was getting out of focus as I realized that I was waking up! NO! I want to stay here forever. My vision was flicking out of focus. I barked towards him and he barked goodbye.

[End of dream]
