~𝑹𝒆𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒓𝒐𝒅𝒖𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑹𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒍𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔~

Kuri's emerald orbs stared at them, emotionless.

"Who called you?"

"The mother. You?"

"Riley" she picked up her bag and camera before speaking.

"I can't stop you from working on the murder but be careful. There's something odd here" and she left. Eli and sky looked at each other and spoke

"Let's get to work" and they did, with one thought running through their minds like a freight train.

'She's alive?!'

-with Kuri-

Kuri was walking the dusty halls of the third floor, taking pictures of objects and engravings that interest her with another camera. As she did, she realized something confusing to her.

'Why is the daughter of a million-dollar family living up here?' While walking, she found many dusty artifacts and filth around the floors and corners that made her wonder why Sophie has such a dirty floor when the rest of the family don't.

Based on Kuri's past with the Braun family, she always witnessed scenes that were rather odd for a family filled with so much love and compassion and it always confused her but now that she's walking, she realizes that maybe things weren't as they seem with this family.

She entered Sophie's study and stopped short of a particular painting. It was of Sophie's family but something looked odd, like it wasn't meant for that piece. Taking out a blue-light flashlight, she shone its strong rays against the painting. What appeared wasn't something she was ready for.

'What?'

She ran back to where the other two were and spoke

"I have a request" they looked at her.

"What is it, Yeager?"

"Let's work together to solve this. I know it may be odd but I think it's better this way" they looked at each other and nodded.

"Fine. we'll work with you. Found anything?" she nodded and they followed her to the study.

"What's in here?"

"This is Sophie's study. Now, according to Riley, she never comes out of here once inside, she's always reading novels or working on her homework. I was looking around when i spotted this painting"

"It's a family portrait, so?" Kuri's hand shook slightly as she picked up the blue-light flashlight and turned it on, aiming down.

"Look" she shone it on the painting and the pair's breathing hitched.

"What.........is that?"

In Front of them was an outline of four creatures, each with a string connected to their spine, which was connected to a woman's heart. It was all in blood red color.

"I don't know but this doesn't seem like a simple murder. It's something more and we're about to be sucked into it" kuri turned off the light and spoke.

"Come on" they left the room and headed back to Sophie's room.

"I'm heading back to my office to check out what dani has for me. I'll be back tomorrow." kuri said as she stretched.

"Okay we're going to stay and check more of this place out. We'll message if we find anything"

"Alright well you have my number, we'll be in touch." she sighed and left the premises.

-time skip to when kuri reaches the office-

"Dani, what do you have for me?" she asked as she walked in. Dani walked out of her lab and spoke

"Hey. come on, let me show you what I've got"

Dani Zoe is the head scientist in the lab of the Titan Detective Agency. She deals with evidence and analyzes any and everything given to her to find clues even the survey corps couldn't find. She and Kuri met when Kuri first started working at the agency. Kuri took a liking to Dani's persona and started to work more with her, bringing the two to be best friends and partners.

Moving on, Kuri walked into the lab to see Dani on her computer which was hooked up to the big television screen.

"So?"

"Right so The fingerprints from the ledge that you gave me were Sophie's."

"That can't be right, she was missing for a month before being found dead."

"I thought the same thing so I used a different scanner, the results, however, are spooky."

"How?"

"Kuri.......the prints are fresh, they were placed there last night. If Sophie's dead, how are there human prints?" her eyes scanned the report again before speaking.

"Anything else?"

"Yes actually. So I ran an autopsy on Sophie and found these three shapes that form a triangle with a line in the middle and a circle at the bottom, inside the triangle. I don't have a clue where it's from and it's not popping up anywhere when I try to compare it." (The deathly hallows)

"So we have odd prints and a mysterious symbol."

"Also her clothes and skin were soaked in some type of chlorine mixture."

"What are the components?"

"Chlorine, blood and gasoline. What doesn't add up is that she wasn't burnt at all. Her death was a headshot so why was she soaked in this mixture?" kuri massaged the joint between her eyes and spoke

"Is that it?"

"Mhm" she nodded and spoke

"Thanks love. I'll figure these out, you have them documented?"

"Yep!" She took the folder and placed it in her bag before stretching.

"I'm heading home, you coming?"

"Sure just let me pack and I'll meet you by the car"

"Alright" Kuri answered and headed to her Black McLauren parked outside.

After a few minutes, Dani placed her bags in the trunk and got into the car. As they drove home, dani spoke

"Kuri?"

"Hm?"

"Could I come with you to the manor tomorrow, I want to test some of the evidence in person."

"Okay sure I do have something to show you anyways." Dani smiled as Kuri agreed.

-when they arrive home-

Kuri was reading one of the reports while Dani was showering.

"Hey Darling?"

"Yeah?" Dani answered as she walked out of the bathroom wearing black silk shorts and one of Kuri's shirts.

"What's polycarbonate synthesis"

"It's like a metallic drug. Stains to discolor your skin. Why??"

"Can it come from bleach?"

"Yes it can, the poly carbonate is mixed with bleach. Why?"

"Just asking, anyways, time for bed?"

"Yep" dani laid next to her and spoke

"Night kuri"

"Night dani" she responded as she turned off the lights, only leaving her soft silver LED's on.
