~𝑩𝒍𝒐𝒐𝒅 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒍𝒐𝒕𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝒊𝒕.~

The next day at the manor

Dani and Kuri walked into the manor to see Eli and Sky eating breakfast at an extra table.

"Morning!" dani greeted with a heart-warming smile

"hoi/hi you must be dani"

"Yeah! You guys must be Eli and Sky"

"yeah/yep" the two sat and kuri spoke

"So you guys found anything new?"

"No, not really. We haven't touched the library yet since we were waiting for you two"

"Alright, you guys ready?" Kuri asked as she stood from her seat.

"Yeah lets go" they headed to the library and went in.

"It's unusually cozy for a top floor library" Dani commented as she observed the space.

"I agree but it seems to have been used. This must be the other place Riley was speaking about." kuri said as she picked up a bookmarked book.

"Riley wasn't lying about sophie loving murder-mysteries." Eli commented as she looked at kuri.

"Yeah" they continued to look around when Sky spotted a raggedy, old book on the ledge of a window. As she looked closer, there was a spot of blood on it.

"Uh guys.....come see this" they walked over and Kuri picked up the book, examining the blood.

"It's dry but still very pigmented. This is recent, Dani, run a scan for me, hun?"

"Sure" she took the book and started to scan it while the other three continued to look around

"Uh guys" dani called out with a scared tone in her voice. They walked over and dani spoke

"This isn't Sophie's blood. It's Marcy's."

"That can't be. No one other than Riley and Sophie come up here. Why would Marcy's blood be on a book Sophie reads?" Eli heard dripping and turned to see spots of blood on the floor, coming from the ceiling.

"You guys.....look" they all looked up and saw a patch of blood staining the ceiling.

"It's coming from the attic." Dani whispered, causing Eli to groan.

"It's always the fucking attic! Always!" they all left to the stairs leading up to the attic, dani and eli stopping a bit before it.

"I'm not going up there" both said hastily, looking at each other and laughing. Kuri shook her head and spoke

"Fine. sky?"

"I'll come with" kuri gave dani her bag and took her camera before going up, sky following. A stench of dried up blood and rot filled their noses causing kuri to cough.

"Something's dead up here!" The two reached into the dark attic and turned on the light, only for sky to scream.

"What the fuck!?" (sky) "the fuck are these?" (kuri)

In Front of them were piles of bodies, covered in blood and some decaying. Sky went back down, the feeling of vomiting taking over her. Kuri took pictures before going back down, locking the attic behind her.

"So we have an issue"

"Let me guess. Their dead bodies up there" eli joked but stopped when kuri looked at her with a look of "yes that's the fucking issue"

"You're kidding"

"No I'm not. Look" she showed them the pictures and both girls cringed away.

"That's nasty"

"Yes it is. I'm going to get jade over here. She could deal with these with her buddies." Kuri took out her phone and called her.

Finally the call was picked up.

"Yo?"

"Hey jade"

"Sup kuri"

"So remember that murder I'm working on?"

"Yes?"

"I need you and a few of your buddies to head over to Braun Manor, now"

"What happened?"

"Just have A LOT of body bags and gas masks on hand."

"Oh fuck. We're on our way" she hung up and sighed, rubbing the bridge of her nose.

Jade Kirstien works at Titan with Kuri and dani. She deals with bodies and autopsies. She and Kuri met in middle school and stayed friends till college when they separated. Jade is a very open yet secretive person when it comes to her personal past.

— a few minutes later—

Jade and her buddies walked in, dressed in black pants, a black, short-sleeve shirt and boots while her buddies were in white forensics suits with gas masks.

"Kuri"

"Jade. I'll brief you in after. It's in the attic" the guys went up and began to work while kuri and jade watched. (the others went to calm down)

"What's going on, kuri?"

"This just turned from a single murder to a mass murder case." She took Jade to the library where they found Marcy's blood and the drips which lead to the attic. She showed her the stuff so far and jade was in shock.

"'the fuck are you dealing with?!" kuri looked at her and spoke

"A murder with clues surrounding a taspestry"

"How are you so sure the tapestry is involved?"

"I just have a feeling these bodies are connected to that tapestry and the blood"

A guy in white walked in, hands covered in blood.

"We're finished ma'am"

"Good. get the others and head back to base to clean up. Stay alert if I call" jade instructed and he nodded, leaving.

"Kuri! Jade!" It was dani. They followed the voice to the study where the tapestry's blood lines were fading.

"The blood is fading" kuri looked at jade with a smug but annoyed look.

"Told you those bodies were connected to the tapestry"

"I didn't think it would be literally connected" kuri went back up to the attic and took her camera, looking around. She found tubes with red residue and put some in an evidence bag before continuing to look around.

A buzzing caught her attention to a small tank system.

"What-" she saw it was emptying fast and was full of......

"Blood. These bodies were blood supply" she whispered and took pictures before going back down.

"Guys!" She walked into the clean study where the others were.

"What is it?"

"I was right. The bodies were blood supply. Look" she laid the pictures out and spoke again.

"These are some of the tubes to test dani" she took it from kuri and went to test it.

"Also this tank is emptying somewhere and it's not the tapestry. We need to find where its going"

"Alright Eli and I will take that on. You and jade continue to figure out the tapestry. We'll call if we find anything" they all agreed and eli left with sky. Kuri and jade went back up to the study, looking around.

"Kuri what have you dragged yourself into?"

"Something that is more than just sophie's murder"
