"All empires are created of blood and fire." ~ Pablo Escobar.

Things got very confusing in those first few seconds after Melanie dropped in a spray of blood. I looked down at her head finding the wound. The bullet had torn a trench from her left temple across the side of her skull. She was still breathing and I didn't waste any time, I powered up my semblance letting my aura pour into Melanie's, letting it boot up and begin to heal her.

Before I could even do that Neo stepped out in front of me and opened her parasol, shielding me. I heard another round impact against it. Again I didn't hear the shot, whoever the sniper was they seemed to be using some kind of suppressed rifle.

After the second shot was blocked by Neo's quick thinking, the shooter dropped the pretense of accuracy and started to unload shot after shot. I listened to the ping of the shots impacting the armored parasol and the sidewalk digging little holes and scattering pieces of broken concrete everywhere pelting me.

Everyone scattered. The only people that stayed close to me aside from Neo was Miltia who wanted to stay close to her sister and Cardin who was the second to spring into action.

"Get in the Limo!" Cardin said, grabbing my shoulders and pushing me inside before I could even protest. I held onto Melanie as I was forced inside, keeping my semblance powered, trying my best to amplify her aura and heal her. Miltia climbed in after the two of us. "Go! Drive!" Cardin yelled at the driver before slamming the door.

The Limo pulled into gear and I looked out the windows to watch as everyone took cover or prepare for a fight. Sky had grabbed Feather's edge from the trunk of the limo and had shifted the weapon into its sniper rifle form and hugged the corner of a building. Blake and the rest of team RWBY were in cover with their scrolls out.

I heard a few shots strike the top of the limousine piercing holes in its unarmored interior. The driver put the hammer down and the vehicle accelerated away. I looked down at Melanie as I continued to pour what I had into her. The bleeding had stemmed but the eye was gone, the shot had grazed it and shattered the edge of the socket leaving nothing but a gaping hole.

Her aura glowed and shimmered and she shifted weakly in my arms.

"Jaune?" She moaned, confused with what was happening. Her aura shimmered as I did my work. I had no idea what the limits of my recently discovered semblance were, I'd only used it to heal someone during that one time but I had a feeling that there was a limit to what I could heal with it, giving her a new eye seemed like a stretch.

"Be still." Miltia told her sister.

I heard a cry of pain come from the front of the limo and the vehicle swerved violently and jostled as it rolled up onto the curb and struck the side of a building. The driver had been hit and I could hear him panicking up front, screaming from the pain of being shot.

What followed next was a series of shots aimed right at the limo piercing right through the roof and shattering windows. I laid down inside trying to shield Melanie from any of the incoming fire. Glass rained over me and Miltia both and I risked a peek outside and saw two vans racing down the street and stopping abruptly with their doors sliding.

Gunfire greeted us as a line of old Atlesian Knight-130's stepped out, their weaponized arms firing at us. I reached into my jacket and grabbed my revolver and leveled it at them as they advanced down the street moving mechanically in columns.

Several of my shots hit the drones I had been aiming at and shattered through, making it spark and drop to the street as a twitching pile of scrap. I ducked down and popped the cylinder to reload but the minute I rose with my weapon raised I found that Yang along with Russel, Deery and Dove had charged their ranks and were proceeding to turn them into scrap. And following their example I watched as a half dozen of Junior's wiseguys rushed out of the club with guns and katanas in hands with O-Ushi behind them with her magnums raised and roaring.
