18. Enemy

" Stop that, I'll tell you why I ACTUALLY abducted Monami.. " Adrin said and I had a victory smile.

I was not a fool to believe Adrin's words that he had just abducted Monami because of his obsession with her. Who would like to mess up with me for the sake of the stupid obsession? Especially when it's Adrin. I also know that Macio won't ever plan to attack me. He knows what he is capable of but still, he attacked I'm sure there is someone behind.

From the day we had been torturing Adrin I had noticed that he was physically well prepared for all this. He was not going to open his mouth by this physical torture. I needed him to open his mouth, I wanted to know who is my new profound enemy. Sarcasm to be noted. Who didn't even bother to show his/her face but still aimed for abducting my wife.

It took me a long time to find the past of Adrin. Whoever his head was had tried his best to erase all the things related to it but my contacts are not for show. 

I wanted to find something which was his worst nightmare to harm him mentally. And I did find something.

When he was a child he was close to his grandmother and when he saw his father shoot a bullet at her in a drunken state it had a deep impact on him. His teddy, which had some bloodstains over it was his worst nightmare to remember the incident but still, He used to keep that teddy with him all along like it was one of the fondest memory to remember his grandmother. But later on, he suffered Amnesia and he seemed to forget the wild incident.

I was not sure whether he will open his mouth by seeing this teddy or not.. But I was sure of one thing this will surely give him pain.

" Simona Shergill is alive and she is the one I work for " Adrin shouted and I was frozen to my place my heart skipped a bit. I was taken aback by his sudden confession. 

" I know nothing except this, Now please leave my teddy, " Adrin said crying bitterly and I shot him, he was dead.

How can this lady be alive? I killed her with my own hands, I saw her death. This can't be happening. I don't want her to ruin my life. I just don't want to. 

I started panicking, my hands were wet and I was sweating and trembling.

Sid approached and handed me a glass of water and patted my back. I drank the glass of water in one sip.

It's currently 7 in the morning and I am sipping a cup of coffee sitting on the garden's swing.

Yesterday after we sat in the car for the journey to the house, I remember sleeping in the car itself. In the morning when I woke up I found the bed to be empty Karan was not there. He might be in the kitchen I thought. The second thing which I noticed was myself being changed into comfortable nightclothes. But I don't remember changing my clothes when I was back home.

Before my mind could think any stupidity further I shrugged the thoughts and went to have a bath.

I went downstairs towards the kitchen but I didn't find Karan. Now, I was getting worried. 

I took out my phone to call him when I saw a message from Sid saying :

" Di, Karan will be coming home by 2 pm in the afternoon as he is a bit busy with his work. Don't stress out thinking about him as I am there to take his care. 

Have food, don't step out of the mansion. Take care of yourself. 

Bye! Have a Good day :) " 

I smiled thinking about the lovely brother I have. But my smile soon faded when I realized that I would have to spend the rest of my time alone. Faizi is also out for his business trips and Sanjana is in LA for her Martial arts training. Not to mention I'm not alone in the house as our men and helpers are always there for me.

I hope Karan comes back by 2 because I know the time can also be changed to 6.

I entered the kitchen and started making coffee for myself. And finally, I was out on the swing.

I decided to call Koel my sister whom I am missing like anything. The last time I called her was 2 days ago she said that she will be back soon once her work in the US gets over. 

She went there just for a show but ended up being a part of it and now she insists on staying more. Dad's surgery was well she said however he was not able to talk much. 

I am also missing Dad as after his surgery I haven't talked to him. Whenever I call I just get to hear that Dad is having his sleep and that's also true whenever I video call her she just showed me, Dad, sleeping. Aww!, how cute he looks!

I wish I could go to meet them in the US but to my bad luck, Dr Mathews keeping my health in mind had advised me not to travel to foreign countries for now as I'll take time to adjust to new weather.

I had also stopped training for Mafia as I am not that healthy to train myself currently. My classes for Medical are also stopped I insisted on doing the classes and Karan denied instead he offered me to have a home tutor. 

I facepalmed myself at his thought and told him that I'll be continuing the classes from next month. 

The phone rang for a minute and it was unanswered. I tried calling again but in vain, for the 5'th time this stupid girl picked up the call.

" How much time do you take to answer my call? You scared me to death Koel " I asked her in a furious voice.

" Hello, Ms...I am a nurse working in Lifeline hospital Ms Koel Mahajan is currently unconscious and is in the hospital. The time she wakes up I'll make up a call to you." The lady said and I grew more worried.

" What happened to her? " I asked almost on the verge of crying.

" Hello Mam..hello I am not getting your voice, " The lady said and the call was hung up.

I wasn't understanding what to do at the moment. My brain was not processing the things I was blank.

The time the nurse was talking to Monami she had a smirk on her face. 

" Mam the work is done " The nurse called someone and said.

" You'll be paid soon, " The lady said and hung up the call.

" It's time for playing with your life once again Karan, " A lady said with a devilish voice.

A/N: This chapter has a lot to say. After some peaceful romantic chapters it's time for some Action and Drama.
