SIX
A VILLAINS DESTINY

━━━━━━━━━━━

There is something devastatingly wrong with (Y/N).

(Y/N) had what Kim Dokja liked to call, 'a really fucking creepy smile' when he was going through a bad time.

If you knew him well enough, you'd see that he smiled in that way a lot.

"Why are you looking at me like that, hyung?"

(Y/N) smiled leisurely, that familiar name sounding so foreign when it shouldn't have been, and Kim Dokja felt like it was wrong. He didn't like how he smiled on that face, pained and aching just as it had always been, yet eerily unfamiliar. His pain was greater than Kim Dokja could ever possibly imagine.

"If I didn't know any better, I would've thought someone died with how you're staring at me!"

The person currently inhabiting (Y/N)'s body was not the same person he knew.

Kim Dokja thought about it sometimes. What he would do when he met the other personality—the other identity, within his best friend's body. And if he could accept that person, because he is technically still (Y/N). Well, wasn't it like he was supposed to?

This is your (Y/N).

Your beloved (Y/N), whom you said you would never abandon even after death.

So why are you giving him such a disturbing expression?

Didn't you say you'd accept every part of him? The good and the bad?

So then...

"Why are you afraid?"

As he watched (Y/N) hover over the corpses of countless Specter monsters and gaze at them coldly. He watched carefully, as (Y/N) looked around at the forms of their teammates, who were all trembling from their own traumas they were stuck inside of.

And yet, he didn't feel a single thing. Not a single emotion behind those glassy, bright eyes that showed no sign of wavering like a calm lake during a hurricane.

"Who am I, hyung?"

Kim Dokja's heard those words before, not even a day ago, but for some reason, the comforting words that he spoke effortlessly earlier couldn't escape from his uncomfortably dry mouth.
