My skin's not as smooth as silk
I don't need it to be white like milk
Staring at the mirror, there goes my reflection
I see a woman full of imprecisionsWrinkles and acne are evident on her face,
But her beam of confidence is never misplaced
She avoids comparison for there's no race
A lover is not essential, she doesn't chaseShe is wearing her favorite suit
On the way to her own hotel suites
Standing strong like a root,
Harvesting her plant's fruitJust like a single book on top of the shelf
I reached everything, all by myself- louvingly
