I slowly sit up in my bed, the cold closed in as my sheets fell off. I quickly pull the covers over me again to protect me against the cold. I breath out. My heads starts throbbing and I feel extremely unwell.
But... I can smell bacon.
I gather my strength and get back up again, this time bringing the blankets with me.
The stairs creak as I walk down and I can hear someone humming a sweet tune. "ah, hey Derek. What happened? Cause I don't remember much apart from hopping in the car" I stammer sitting in my favourite recliner.
"Well you fell asleep nearly as soon you got in the car! I had to carry you to your bed." He replies. "oh! And I made bacon." he turns around to show me a big pan full of crispy bacon. "Thank you Derek." I smile at him. "Your head hurts huh?" He smiles back.

I thanked him for the meal and went back upstairs and got changed into some warm clothes. "Take these" Derek chucks two panadols for my headache. "Thank you again" I don't smile this time. I really wish I didn't have that much beer, it doesn't go well for me that one.

"Ok well your staying home today and sleeping. Under my orders!" He commands me upstairs and closes the door. I hear him open and close the door. I'm really thankful to have a guy like him. I smile to myself as everything fades to black. sleep soon follows.
